PART 1 - GENERAL<br />

1.01 SCOPE<br />

A. This Section covers the procedures and accuracy requirements for survey services for layout<br />

of work, as-built surveys, and field measurement of work quantities to be determined by<br />

surveys.<br />

B. Before commencing any layout of work and surveys the Contractor shall give the Project<br />

Manager 48 hours written advance notice so that the Project Manager may witness such<br />

work. Contact the Airport Survey Office: Dennis Hamlin, PLS <strong>DIA</strong> Land Surveyor Supervisor<br />

(Airport Survey Manager), <strong>DIA</strong> Airport Survey Office, 303-342-4428 or email:<br />

Dennis.Hamlin@flydenver.com. Contractors are responsible for obtaining <strong>DIA</strong> related survey<br />

guidance, survey points, calibration files and training materials from the Airport Survey Office<br />

prior to beginning survey work on any <strong>DIA</strong> project regardless of size, scope or duration.<br />

C. Reference Contract General Conditions, GC 317 and GC 318.<br />

D. All construction as-built surveys shall comply with Federal Aviation Administration Advisory<br />

Circulars when applicable and designated by the <strong>DIA</strong> Project Manager in the Technical<br />

Specifications for the awarded project:<br />
