5.07 PROPERTY BOUNDARY SURVEYING/LAND-USE<br />

A. All property surveys on airport property need to comply with the requirements for the State of<br />

Colorado and be conducted by a licensed surveyor in the state. For more details please see the<br />

B. When necessary, the surveyor will set boundary monuments in accordance with the accepted<br />

surveying practice and legal requirements so that, upon completion of the survey, each corner of the<br />

property and each referenced control stations will be physically monumented. When it is impossible<br />

or impracticable to set a boundary monument on a corner, the surveyor will set a reference<br />

monument, similar in character to the boundary monument and preferably along one of the property<br />

lines intersecting at the corner. When a reference monument is used, clearly identify it as a reference<br />

monument on the plat of the property and in any new deed description, written for the property. Every<br />

boundary monument and/or reference monument set by the surveyor will, when practicable:<br />

1. Be composed of a durable material.<br />

2. Have a minimum length of thirty inches with a 2 inch minimum diameter durable metallic<br />

cap<br />

3. Have a minimum cross-section area of material of 0.2 square inches.<br />

4. Be identified with a durable marker bearing the surveyor's registration<br />

5. Number of (PLS) with company name and date, should be stamped on the cap<br />

6. Be detectable with conventional instruments for finding ferrous or magnetic objects.<br />

C. When a case arises due to physical obstructions where a boundary or reference monument cannot<br />
