1. Provide experienced personnel and management onsite to coordinate and effect,<br />

for the complete Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System:<br />

a. Installation, termination, and adjustment.<br />

b. All onsite testing.<br />

c. Startup assistance.<br />

B. Onsite Supervision:<br />

1. Provide onsite, an experienced resident engineering manager to supervise and<br />

coordinate all of the onsite Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System<br />

activities. This resident engineering manager shall be onsite during the total<br />

period required to effect all of the required onsite activities relating to the Airfield<br />

Lighting Control and Monitoring System.<br />

2. Submit Resume of onsite supervisor to Owner for review and approval. The<br />

individual approved by the Owner will be onsite as required by these<br />

Specifications. No changes will be accepted without prior approval of the Owner.<br />

C. Startup and Testing Team:<br />

1. Provide, onsite, a team of experienced engineering and technician personnel<br />

during the total period required to:<br />

a. Thoroughly check the installation, termination, and adjustment of all of<br />

the Subsystems and their components.<br />

b. Perform and complete all onsite tests.<br />

c. Provide assistance to the Owner for a period of one calendar week after<br />

interim and final acceptance inspections.<br />

1.08 PROJECT CONDITIONS<br />

A. This project is located on an active airport and work is subject to security and other<br />

restrictions.<br />

B. The airport will be operational during construction and requires coordination and prior<br />

approval from the resident engineer for any planned power and systems outages. All<br />

work inside the airport security fence shall be coordinated with the resident engineer.<br />

C. The existing airport lighting control system shall remain operational during construction<br />

and testing of the system modifications. The existing control system configuration shall<br />

remain operational until the project manager accepts the new system modifications.<br />

1.09 SPARE PARTS<br />

Supply as a minimum, one of each or 10% of the total items supplied to the project whichever is<br />

greater. The items supplied as a minimum shall match the recommended spare parts list in<br />

Section 1.02 Submittal.<br />
