E. Existing Flat Screen’s Touchscreen Specifications: The Touchscreen is of the Surface<br />

Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology that meets the following requirements:<br />

Mechanical Construction: Glass panel with transducers attached to front<br />

surface of glass. Glass panel thickness nominally<br />

0.115-inch (3 mm). Corner-mounted transducers<br />

add maximum of 0.150-inch (4 mm). Beveled flat<br />

screens have transducers attached to a beveled<br />

edge of the glass.<br />

touchscreen shall withstand 20 discharges of 15<br />

kV, distributed randomly across the active area<br />

of the touchscreen.<br />

Unaffected by EMI from other nearby<br />

touchscreens, CRT’s and displays. Unaffected<br />

by environmental EMI.<br />

Controllers and cables must be approved to FCC<br />
