AIRPORT LIGHTING SYSTEMS<br />

PART 1 DESCRIPTION<br />

1.01 GENERAL. This item shall consist of airport lighting systems furnished and installed in accordance<br />

with this specification, the referenced specifications, and the applicable Federal Aviation<br />

Administration Advisory Circulars. The systems shall be installed at the location and in accordance<br />

with the dimensions, layout, design, and details shown in the drawings. This item shall include<br />

furnishing and installing all lights, signs, transformers, bases, mounting assemblies, base plates,<br />

adapter rings, concrete work, sealing filler, adhesive sealant, cable connections, all lamps, ground<br />

rod and inspection pits, testing of the installation and all incidentals and appurtenances necessary to<br />

place the systems in operation as completed units to the satisfaction of the <strong>DIA</strong> Project Manager.<br />

The contractor shall not place an order for any electrical, lighting, or signing material until specific<br />

approval is received from the <strong>DIA</strong> Project Manager for each order on an individual basis.<br />

are contained in the Advisory Circulars (latest edition) listed below:<br />
