HORTI SANGIULIANEI
The Horti Sangiulianei garden lies in the Aprilia territory
(Via Pantanelle 255/A) and covers a surface area of 6,000
square metres. It is the home of more than one thousand
species of plants from all over the world; among the most
noteworthy for quantity and rarity are the palm trees and
other plants from Australia, Brazil and South Africa. This is
a typical experimental Mediterranean botanic garden, with a
study area of the laboratory of the Gardening Section of
the Florida International Cultural Centre. Visits by

It lies in the territory of Fondi and it is characteristic for the
presence of Marshy lands and woods that formed the Plain

LAKE OF FONDI - NATURAL MONUMENT
The Lake of Fondi, which was declared a Natural Monument in
Lazio Regional Executive Order no.400/2006, encompasses
1,723.33 hectares of the Municipalities of Fondi and Monte San
Biagio. It is an eutrophic lake, the environment of which is predominantly
wet, Mediterranean grasslands and stretches of sand
dunes, typified by a vast, biodiversity of species of birds, animals
and plants, as well as expanses of agriculture and forests with particularly
remarkable landscapes and environments, such as the
“swamps” and the remains of plain woods. The area of the Lake
of Fondi is located along the migratory Tyrrhenian route and is a
“Protected Migration Route”.

DIE HORTI SANGIULIANEI
Die Horti Sangiulianei liegen in der Gegend um Aprilia und
beherbergen über tausend Pflanzenarten aus der ganzen Welt,
darunter Palmen, Exemplare aus Australien, Brasilien und
Südafrika. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein typisches Beispiel eines
experimentellen mediterranen Gartens, das Forschungsgebiet des
Labors der botanischen Abteilung des Kulturzentrums Florida

DER SEE VON FONDI - NATURDENKMAL
Der See von Fondi, der mit Präsidialerlaß Nr. 400/2006 der
Region Latium zum Naturdenkmal erklärt wurde, estreckt
sich über 1.723.33 Hektar in den Gemeinden von Fondi und
Monte San Biagio. Die prioritären Habitate dieses autrophen
Sees sind feuchtes mediterranes Grasland und Stranddünen; der
See zeichnet sich durch eine reiche Biovielfalt vogelkundlicher, faunistischer
und floristischer Spezies und durch landwirtschaftliche
Gebiete und Waldbestände von großem landschaftlichen und umweltbezogenem
Interesse aus, wie die Sümpfe und die Überreste
von Flachlandwäldern. Bei dem Gebiet des Sees von Fondi,
das in Richtung der Migrationslinie am Tyrrhenischen Meer
liegt, handelt es sich um die Schutzzone Migrationskurs“.
