SPORTS<br />

SOCIAL BAdminton (Ages 8-18) $35<br />

Beginner level players will gain a solid foundation with footwork<br />

and stroke techniques, basic concepts of tactics and strategy, as<br />

well as badminton rules and etiquette. Intermediate and advanced<br />

level players will learn advanced tactics and strategies of the game.<br />

All players will learn and enjoy the social aspect of badminton.<br />

Players are required to bring a badminton racket and gym shoes<br />

as we partner with Peak Performance Tennis and the Nike Tennis<br />

Camp. Participants will work with experienced staff that provide<br />

instruction and are committed to your tennis development<br />

with a very positive teaching style. Players will be taught the<br />

fundamentals of tennis from the very basics to the tournament<br />

level while developing their own unique game style based on their<br />

different skills levels. You will increase your self-confidence and<br />

We know you love Legos, and we know you can create<br />

magical worlds. Now it’s time to bring those worlds to life in<br />

Lego-animated flix! We provide the Legos, you provide your<br />

imagination. Students will create a Lego set with Lego characters<br />

for a movie they storyboard, write, shoot, and voice-over in ageappropriate<br />

This course will cover three of the most widely used Macintosh<br />

applications. Mail can now be automatically configured to work<br />

with every major internet service provider, and most major<br />

webmail providers, such as Gmail, Yahoo, and AOL. It can be<br />

used to manage multiple email accounts. Address Book will<br />

easily keep track of your contacts, and iCal can be used to track<br />

appointments, schedules, events, etc. A major emphasis will be<br />

placed on the tight integration between these three applications,<br />

such as; contacts are easily added from Mail; your Address book<br />

contacts will auto-fill into new emails; iCal can auto-send email<br />

reminders; and many other functions. You are welcome to use<br />

This course will cover the basic techniques of preventive<br />

maintenance and troubleshooting the occasional problems<br />

encountered on a Macintosh. A basic sequence of steps will<br />

suggested for both software and hardware issues. The Disk Utility<br />

application that comes with all Macintoshes will be demonstrated,<br />

and other third-party utility applications will be recommended.<br />

Backing up your Macintosh will be covered with a demonstration<br />

of Time Machine, OS X’s built-in back up utility, along with<br />

several online backup solutions. Numerous recommendations<br />

for books and online resources will also be discussed. You are<br />

GENERAL PURPOSE LIABILITY WAIVER RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT<br />

In consideration of accepting this registration, I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless South Orange County <strong>Community</strong> College District and its officers, clients, agents or employees<br />

from any and all claims, damages, or losses caused by the negligent or intentional acts or omissions of the SOCCCD’s officers, clients, agents or employees that result in bodily<br />

injury, property damage or any other injury or loss to myself (and to any minor children for whom I have the capacity to contract) arising out of the participation in this program<br />

or other classes sponsored by Irvine Valley College, for a calendar year, enrolled in by me (and by any minor children for whom I have the capacity to contract). I hereby give permission<br />

to <strong>IVC</strong> to videotape or photograph me or my children participating in the programs for use in future marketing, publicity, and advertising on behalf of Irvine Valley College, The<br />

Irvine Valley College Foundation, and/or the South Orange County <strong>Community</strong> College District and understand that I will not receive any compensation for such use. I further hold<br />

harmless <strong>IVC</strong>, the <strong>IVC</strong> Foundation, or the SOCCCD for any unintentional misuse or misrepresentation of any video or photographic image as part of the above-mentioned uses. I<br />
