Test may be in English / Urdu or in both.<br />

35. Canvassing for admission in any form by a candidate would lead to rejection<br />

of his/her application form.<br />

36. The candidates once admitted shall be subject to govern by the rules and<br />

bye-laws of <strong>Jamia</strong> <strong>Hamdard</strong>.<br />

37. The ragging is strictly prohibited.<br />

38. All the matters of dispute shall be subject to Delhi jurisdiction only.<br />

PARENTS / GUARDIANS MAY PLEASE NOTE:<br />

1. That once your ward is admitted in <strong>Jamia</strong> <strong>Hamdard</strong> to a programme of<br />

study, please discuss with him/her the rules and bye-laws governing that<br />

programme.<br />

2. That to appear in the session / annual / semester examination, 75%<br />

attendance in all the class subjects is compulsory. Please impress upon<br />

your ward to communicate his/her attendance to you at the end of each<br />

term. Students having less than 75% attendance will not be allowed to sit for<br />

any examination. Only 5% exemption in attendance will be given to those<br />

who will submit a valid medical certificate and have sought prior permission<br />

from the respective Head of the Department for medical leave.<br />

3. That at the end of every academic session, please check the mark-sheet of<br />

your ward and acquaint yourself with his/her performance.<br />

4. Parents are advised to visit <strong>Jamia</strong> <strong>Hamdard</strong> website http://www.<br />

jamiahamdard.edu regularly for important notices etc.<br />

RESERVATION/ RELAXATION:<br />

Reservation and / or relaxation to various categories of applicants will be<br />

available as per the University rules. As an institution set up under Article 30(1)<br />

of the Constitution of India, <strong>Jamia</strong> <strong>Hamdard</strong> reserves 50 per cent of the seats<br />

for Muslims. Relaxation of 5 per cent in the required percentage of marks for the<br />

eligibility will be given to SC / ST candidates provided a copy of certificate from<br />

the competent authority is enclosed with the application form. Also weightage of 5<br />

per cent of marks obtained in the Entrance Test/ Interview will be given to SC/ST<br />

candidates. Candidates will be required to produce original certificate at the time<br />

of admission. Weightage in merit is given to internal students, sports persons and<br />

Physically Challenged candidates as per University rules.<br />

PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED (PC) CANDIDATES<br />

A candidate in order to be eligible for reservation/ concession under this<br />

category should have minimum degree of disability to the extent of 40%.<br />

Physically challenged candidates will have to submit certificate from the<br />

competent authority. The certifying authority in all such cases will be a medical<br />

board at the district level consisting of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Sub-<br />

Divisional Medical Officer in the district and another expert in the specified<br />

field, viz., Ophthalmic Surgeon in the case of visually challenged, ENT surgeon<br />

or Audiologist for hearing speech challenged and an Orthopedic Surgeon or<br />

a Specialist in Physical Medicine and rehabilitation in the case of locomotor<br />

challenged. Furthermore, a candidate will become eligible for the benefit<br />

under PC category subject to his/her claim being verified by the Medical<br />

Board of Majeedia Hospital, <strong>Jamia</strong> <strong>Hamdard</strong>. This board will also ascertain<br />

that the physical disability is not considered as a hindrance in pursuing the<br />

programme of study that the candidate wishes to be admitted to. Decision of<br />

this board will be final and binding.<br />

SPORTS PERSON<br />

Sportspersons of State and National level will be eligible to be considered for<br />

the benefit under this category, if he/she produces certificate from the competent<br />

authority that he/she has:<br />

1. Represented State in the National Games/ Championships (certificate from<br />

National/State Association is to be submitted).<br />

2. Represented India in an International meet (certificate from Ministry of Youth<br />

Affairs & Sports to be submitted).<br />

Candidates who have certificates of participation at lower levels than the above will<br />

not be given any consideration. Also certificate of participation in the games other<br />

than those mentioned above will not be given any consideration. Candidates who<br />

will be selected under this category will be required to undergo a trial conducted<br />

by the University to verify their claim. Decision of the University in this regard<br />

will be final.<br />

WITHDRAWAL OF ADMISSION AND REFUND OF FEE<br />

Following rules will govern the refund of fee in case of withdrawal of admission.<br />

1. In case the student / candidate seeks withdrawal of the admission on<br />

or before the last date of Admission as notified in the selection list ,the<br />

<strong>Jamia</strong> <strong>Hamdard</strong> 59
