RETREAT IN RECORD
The Province Retreat directed by Fr. Pat De Melo of
Goa Province had a record breaking number
making it: 77 priests and 27 scholastics!
SPECIAL EVENTS
A GLIMPSE OF THE JAMSHEDPUR
PROVINCE ASSEMBLY 2013
“Renewal of Province Structures for Universal
Mission”
Recapturing the off-stage action:
'Nothing is more practical than a good theory', so
goes a saying and, to look at the practical things a
theory was needed – a solid beginning was needed
for the Province Assembly 2013 and that was done
in CREM Meet in late January. Fr. Provincial,
Michael T Raj, explained the whole idea of Renewal
in the Society and CREM took it upon them to
discuss and identify the parameters to evaluate the
whole province works to see their effectiveness and
later to see if/where changes are needed. A
committee under Abe was constituted to formulate
these parameters and then to formulate the
questionnaire for evaluating each ministry. Jerry
Cutinha, along with George Joseph, cobbled
together all the ideas and formulated the final
questionnaire and they were sent to each
community to evaluate their respective ministries.
In the second week of April, during the Young
Priests' Meet, the Provincial surprised all with the
idea of this evaluation by the Young Priests, and
Jerry was air-lifted from Chennai to explain the
whole process to them. The evaluation was to be
done on a war footing in two weeks time and the
Young Priests took up the challenge.
At a later stage Jerry was appointed Convener of the
organizing committee with Tony P, Ranjeet Kindo,
Bipin Kujur and Somy Mannoor to pool in their
ideas. Jerry had to use all his diplomatic skills - and
travel thousands of kilometers - to get the first
meeting going on a convenient day, 11 May In the
face of a daunting task of tabulating the data that
poured in from the evaluation, Alex Mascarenhas
put his hand up to sweat it out. In that meeting, after
much groping in the dark, an agenda was
hammered out for the Province Assembly. All the
plans had to be redrawn a couple of days before the
assembly. George Joseph took the challenge and
played the lead role in formulating the modus
operandi for the Province Assembly 2013.
22 May: The Assembly begins
'Mission should shape our life style and not dictate
the direction of mission' is what the Provincial, Fr.
Michael, stressed as he exhorted us at the
Inaugural Mass in the Institute Chapel of XLRI. He
set the tone for the Assembly by highlighting the
need for strategy planning with a view of greater
effectiveness for universal mission. S. Anthony
Raj. the Mission Superior, in his introduction spoke
of universal mission going beyond boundaries
while George Fernandes, the recently appointed
Superior of XL extended a warm welcome to one
and all. Jerry, on behalf of the Core Committee,
gave the dynamics of the whole meet, to clear air of
doubts and, then George Joseph invited all into
Positive Inquiry (PI) to tap the positive energy of all
in order to launch us to greater heights.
In the subsequent sessions that were guided by
George Joseph, discussions flowed from visionmission
to activities, target groups, personnel and
financial viability. The group discussions began with
a presentation of the outcome of the evaluation and
then carried on to ministry-specific issues –
Pastoral, Social, Higher Education, Schools, both
Vernacular and English medium. A ministry-specific
vision statement was put together and an appraisal
of other aspects like finance, formation,
administration, etc. were done. A lot of discussion
and reflection took place. Everything does not end
there with the vote of thanks: as the Provincial
pointed out as this whole exercise is a process, a
water-shed for further planning and structural
renewal. With the theme 'Renewal of Province
Structures for Universal Mission, the PA discussed
and deliberated upon an honest appraisal of our
mission so as to centralize all our efforts for the
Universal mission of the Society – it is nothing but
God's Mission.
To the Future:
Much has been achieved in these days, but much
more has to be done. Based on these, each
ministry, community and province structure needs to
be renewed/rejuvenated in order to serve the
Universal mission.
Other than the core committee members, many
heads have worked together, with all the diversity
(some are still laboring hard to put together all that
has evolved in the assembly) to make this a unique
exercise – Vally Mendonca, George Fernandes
John Mundu and, of course, all who made it a
point to make sure that they did not miss out on the
Province Assembly. We have promises to keep and
miles to go before we can sleep ….”
TRIPLE CELEBRATIONS
Promises to Keep…
On 24 May 2013 the members of Jamshedpur
04 JAMSHEDPUR JESUITS
JUNE 2013
Province – from far and near - came together. We
had reasons to thank God and reasons to celebrate -
for the Lord had blessed Jamshedpur Diocese and
the Province with 9 newly-ordained priests this year:
Frs. Alwyn Rodrigues, Bipin Kujur, Biranchi
Soreng, Ignatius Dungdung, Michael
Fernandes, Niranjan Minj, Ranjit Bilung, Tony
John, Vincent Vinod Fernandes; with the longcommitted-life
of our four Jubilarians, Fr. Ed
Somy Mannoor gave a pithy thumb-nail sketch of
each of them and their claim to fame, not forgetting
George Fernandes at the altar in his first year as
Superior of XL community, S Anthony Raj in his
second year as Odisha Mission Superior, and the
main celebrant, Fr. Michael Thanaraj, in his fifth
year as Provincial with “promises to keep and miles
to go before he sleeps …”
Fr. Prabhu Hall provided a somber ambience. The
venue was tastefully decorated in subdued tones.
While outside temperatures read 45 degrees
Celsius, it was just “cool, cool, 'thanda', 'thanda'” in
Prabhu Hall when Emile Coelho with his band of
four led us through with a hymn from the St. Louis
Jesuits “ Take, Lord, receive …”. This set the mood
for S Anthony Raj to touch on the whole aspect of
“promises”- the theme of the day “Promises to
Keep”. In the congregation were the relatives of
those called to take Final Vows, and, keeping them
in mind, the Provincial spoke endearingly in Hindi.
He dwelt on the whole meaning of this solemn
moment of their brother being incorporated into the
McGrath leading the pack with 60 years in the
Priesthood followed by those who put in 25 years
like Frs. Gilbert Menezes, Oscar Horo and
Raphael Lakra and, of course, the icing on the
cake, our four brother Jesuits, Frs. Bernard Surin,
Polidor Kujur, Ranjeet Kindo and Sunil Lakra.
called to pronounce their Final Vows in the Society
of Jesus.
Society of Jesus through final vows so that they too
could become one with them.
All said and done, it was a fitting finale to days spent
together in evaluating the province and its various
ministries. As the strains of the final hymn to Our
Lady of the Way “Be with us, Mary, along the way,
guide every step we take” came to a close, a giant
chocolate cake was brought in and the four who had
pronounced their Final Vows were invited to cut the
cake as Emile led one and all in “ Tra-la laa ……
There was more to come as we trooped out into the
green lawns of XL that were laid out to make this
truly a night to remember.
SCHOLASTICS SUMMER PROGRAMME
17 May 2013: 'Dare to be Different'
We began our Get Together 2013, at
Sankhabhanga (Odisha). As soon as we reached,
we were welcomed by Victor Joseph, the
Coordinator of the apostolate. He briefed us about
the logistics of the place and accepted the role of
Villa superior in the absence of our PCF. We
numbered 27 scholastics this year..
Johnson Lakra during the Eucharist set the tone of
the day by introducing us to the theme “Dare to be
Different”. The day was scheduled for the various
sessions by the different resource persons. It began
with “Ignatian Spirituality” by Fr. Victor Joseph
explaining its value in our life as Jesuits. Fr. Vinod
Fernandes was ever willing to share his experience
of Jesuit education of 'yesterday, today and
tomorrow'. He briefed about the hallmarks of the
Jesuit education and its implication in the world
today. He shared his insights that he brought along
from the International Colloquium on Jesuit
Secondary Education (ICJSE) at Boston,
Massachusetts, U.S.A.
In the afternoon we had a Guest Speaker, Mr. Tony
Castleton, (from XITE). He challenged the
scholastics with his passionate and revolutionary
talk. He expressed his views from a layman's
perspective and asked all of us to be extraordinary in
a simple way. In his talk he emphasized the
importance of the 'Word of God' in religious and
priestly life.
In the evening the scholastics enjoyed the company
of each other through volleyball game and
interactive ice breaking sessions conducted by
Alok.
18 May 2013: 'Audacity to Believe'
The day began with the Holy Eucharist celebrated
by Fr. Vinod. He introduced us to the theme and
explained the relevance of it in our life.
The presence of scholastics in Loyola School,
Sankhabhanga, brought life to the campus and the
place resounded with the sound of laughter much to
the delight of Victor Joseph. The Sisters of St.
Anne's and the kitchen staff were there 24x7 at our
service and providing us delicious meals. One
couldn't imagine that they could work so hard in
such steamy conditions. The meticulous planning
of Mukti Clarence, Asutosh Pawan, Pascal
Dhanwar, and Sanay Soreng made our stay
comfortable and enjoyable.
Despite scorching sun outside the active
participation of scholastics in various games
doubled our joy of staying together. In the evening
we enjoyed dancing together to popular Nagpuri
tunes.
19 May 2013: 'Depth and Creativity'
The day began with the spirit of gratitude to the Holy
Spirit and invoking God the Father to guide and lead
us to the depth of our being. Basil Sangha
introduced the theme of the day and welcomed the
Mass celebrants to lead us into prayer. Fr. Victor
Joseph was the main celebrant assisted by Fr.
Vinod and Mukti. Clarence. Mukti inspired all the
scholastics by his homily calling us to be creative
and have depth in whatever we do.
The day was full of activities which made the
scholastics enjoy the day to the fullest. It was really
heart touching to see them shouting and yelling at
one another during the baseball game. This
shouting and yelling was nothing but an opportunity
to come closer to one another. It was heartwarming
to see all the scholastics enjoying one another's
company without difference of senior or junior.
The evening was spent together with lots of partysongs,
'shayries' and jokes that made the evening
hour a memorable one.
20 May 2013: 'Be the Message'
As the Villa 2013 came to an end the scholastics
wanted to make 'masti' and enjoy the company of
one another. The day began with a solemn Mass
presided over by Fr. Vinod accompanied by
Vincent Vinod who gave a soul stirring sermon. In
his sermon he invited us 'to be the message' to the
people. During the day the scholastics enjoyed a
baseball match and, at the end, they danced
together to the rhythm of Nagpuri hits.
The scholastics wanted to contribute something
memorable to the campus of Sankhabhanga. So in
the evening, instead of playing, they worked in the
teak garden and made a road for the hostel girls and
Sisters which would provide easy access to the
school.
It was also the day of thanks giving for the services
received from the community and the Sisters. In the
evening there was a short thanks giving program.
Mahesh Nayak proposed a vote of thanks to the
community, St. Anne's Sisters and co-workers for
their tireless efforts for making our stay comfortable,
enjoyable and indeed a memorable one. Scholastic
representatives presented them gifts as a token of
love for their generosity and hospitality.
On 21 May the scholastics travelled to XLRI,
Jamshedpur, where the Provincial and Mission
Superior addressed the Scholastics. The Villa
came to an end with a sumptuous dinner hosted by
XL Community.
The grand success of the Villa 2013 is the fruit of
Villa Coordinators' efficient networking which
started 3 to 4 months prior to the Villa Days. Hats off
and cheers to Mukti Clarence, Asutosh Pawan
and Pascal Dhanwar for their meticulous planning
and execution!
--- Mukti Clarence
SARVA MILAN
SARVA MILAN meeting was held at Loyola School
on the 12 May. Despite the heat, 40 college students
came to the meeting at 4.00 pm. They came from
every single college in the city; and that includes
Xavier College.
An interesting fact emerged when the media
seemed to say year after year that the girls out
shone the boys in the Board Exams but at this
meeting the boys far outnumbered the girls.
20, 21 and 22 May were the days when the
momentous events took place in Peter Claver
Leprosy Hospital (CSWC), Amda. This was the day
when the RCS (Re-constructive Surgery) took place
in the newly set up Operation Theatre. In this first
batch there were two women and four men with
leprosy who went through the operation on their
deformed legs and hands. The operation was
conducted by the well-known DFIT, Chennai
surgeon: Dr. Jacob Mathew, who was assisted by
21 young men of St. Paul's Seminary, Akhalpur of
Jammu-Srinagar Diocese made their annual retreat
under my guidance. This is the fifth time I am giving a
retreat directors in this part of the world.
On behalf of the Central Zone consisting of five
provinces of Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dumka,
Hazaribagh and M.P., Fr. Christopher Lakra and Fr.
James Toppo of Ranchi Province, visited
Jammu–Kashmir state to explore various
possibilities of Jesuit involvement in the Mission of
the Church in J&K and H.P., the two states which do
not come under any Jesuit Province. They called
me also to Jammu to help them in their mission. Fr.
Benjamin Lakra took them to different places for
about ten days. Their visits to different places have
generated lot of hope in the local church. Bishop
Peter Celestine of Jammu-Srinagar Diocese very
gratefully remembered the great work done by
humble Jesuits like Eric Cassel! (Praise the Lord) in
J&K. He continues to hope that the Jesuits will not
disappoint the diocese.
From the stroke he suffered, Hilary has made a
remarkable and spectacular improvement from
ground zero. He attributes his recovery to the prayer
of his well wishers. As everything went on well, he
developed urinary and stool problems and,
therefore, was readmitted to TMH for a battery of
tests and pathological investigations.
From 4 to 6 May, Kuru and Tony along with the
faculty members interviewed 200 shortlisted
candidates for 2013-14 Batch as to select 100
prospective candidates for this professional course.
The exercise, certainly, was tedious and tiring; but,
worth doing. On 7 May, a panel consisting of Tony
Uvari, Kuru and Tony P interviewed 7 prospective
teachers for vacant seats.
Tony P went to Kolkata to have a check-up before
he takes up classes in IGNOU programme. Kuru
spearheaded a workshop for the second year
IGNOU B.Ed. students from 13 and will end by 24
May and then it will be turn of the first year IGNOU to
attend similar workshop from 25 to 5 June.
Meanwhile, Tony P got the auditing finished for
2012-13 financial year. While Kuru found time to
attend the Province Assembly, Tony P attended PA
2013 and the Province Retreat at XLRI. On 27 May,
Kuru flew to New Delhi for a hearing of the NCTE on
our case of appeal for additional intake of students in
the B.Ed. course.
B.Ed. student for a year, bidding adieu as he
completed his B.Ed. course. Sunny celebrated his
birthday on 3 and left for his land of promise in
Dhanbad on 4 May. The Community is thankful to
their assistance in taking up Mass at Jeevan Jyoti,
Little Flower Convent and Aruppe Bhavan with
utmost generosity and willingness.
On 16 May, Sr. Ophelia BS, Superintendent of
Surin, as he moves off to take charge as Principal of
Xavier College , Gamaria, while still wearing the hat
of PCF. I guess Joe can attribute his 'cool, super
cool' poise to his daily practice of 'yoga'!
Loyola Niwas played hosts to 'The 3 Idiots': two
stalwarts from Chennai: Jerry Cutinha and Vally
Mendonca and the third from Delhi, Alex
Mascarenhas. While Jerry took on the role of being
the “brains” in the planning and execution of the
Province Assembly on the theme of Apostolic and
Strategic Planning for the Province, Vally used his
versatile skills in multi-media to formulating and
preparing flex banners to power point presentations.
Alex put to good use his analytical skills as he tried
to sort out the data coming in from different
communities/ministries on the questionnaire sent
out in preparation for the Province Assembly. Words
are inadequate to give them the due credit they
deserve!
LUPUNGUTU
The month of May was really the month of
celebrations. We had two birthday celebrations,
Paul Hembrom who celebrated his 3 May and
Oscar Horo celebrated his 25 years of priesthood
on 12 May. Soon after that on 15 May he celebrated
his birthday. The Jubilee celebration of Oscar was a
time of grace in which his family members
participated. They also gifted two big khassies on
the occasion. The celebration does not end with that
alone but we had reason to celebrate for the good
performance of our students as well in the Matric.
This year 183 students appeared in the Board Exam
in which 182 were declared successful while one is
still under scrutiny. 159 of them got more that 60%
marks that is equal to First Division and 23 of them
got less than 60% that is more or less a Second
Division. 17 students got more than 80% and one
student was awarded 100% in Math. Hats off to the
Headmaster, Paul Hembrom, and the staff for the
results that will enable our students to walk with
heads held high!
The increasing heat in the district forced the District
Administration to instruct all schools in the District to
reschedule the class timing. Thus we used to begin
class as early as 6.30 in the morning and end at
10.30. However, we closed down the school for the
summer vacation on the 18 May. During the
vacation Pascal Kerketta and Paul Marla stayed
back to attend to the house maintenance work while
all others left for the Proving Assembly and Province
Retreat.
RENGRA
Ever since Fabian Bhuinyan came to Rengra, he
is feeling under the weather. He rested for a few
days in Divya Bharati and later was advised to go to
XLRI to have a thorough medical check up.
Sushil Kerketta, Fabian Bhuinyan and Mike
Fernandes attended the Province Assembly and the
common Province Retreat in XLRI.
On 9 May Kolhan Villa was held in in Rengra. This
year 63.87% students passed in the Matric
Examination – not flattering but gives us enough
reason to see whether we should continue with
High School when we do face a dearth of teachers
for Maths and Science in a remote place like
Rengra.
The DEO, Mr. Valerian Tirkey, inspected our
premises and raised our hopes that approval would
be forthcoming.. Paul Hembrom and Anselm
RUTUNGIA
Our school had the best results ever as 27 of the 28
students passed making our school shine in
Kandhamal. Though 6 students managed to pass in
First Division, the majority, 16 of them, passed in
Second. Kudos to Isidore Minj, the Principal, and
his team. For the school, 2 May was the last working
day, and the students were more than happy to
leave for summer holidays leaving the campus quiet
and dry with the summer heat. However, their
absence was a blessing for the catechists of the
parish, who had the experience of going through a 3-
day Ignatian retreat for the first time under Bene
Kujur. It was a new experience for them as they
were mostly used to the charismatic retreats. The
month of May brings the parishioners for the
evening rosary in their mandalis. Mother Mary must
have been greatly pleased seeing them, starting
from kids to the old, bringing flowers to offer to her.
Bipin came to visit us and assisted Ajit Soreng in
the vocation camp held at the Pastoral Center at
Konjamundi. They were greatly pleased to receive
the names of a large number of aspirants to join the
Jesuits.
Isidore took four of our teachers to Loyola School,
Bhubaneswar for a staff orientation program
organized by Ajit Bahala for the teachers of the
three Odiya medium schools. It seems they were
greatly enriched by the facilitator and his team.
Isidore is hoping to have another orientation for the
all the teachers with the help of those four who went
to Bhubaneswar. It is a great way of passing on
learning among colleagues.
We had a number of scholastics visiting Rutungia to
learn either Kui or Odiya under the guidance of
Bene Kujur. Johnson, Angelus and Santosh
had the experience of learning Kui and Prabhakar,
Odiya. Some of them polished up their preferred
language while staying in the villages. They had to
give exams even though they were fully involved in
the Youth Camp organized by Ajit and Vinod. We
had about 70 boys and girls spending three days in
the campus attending the sessions and getting fully
immersed in various games, cultural items and
work. It was a great joy to see them enjoying each
other's company. We hope this camp would
rejuvenate the youth of our parish to empower them
and the others. About 25 youth had also participated
in the diocesan youth camp held at Raikia parish in
the beginning of May.
Renny Abraham visited us as he had to go to Raikia
for the institutional fact finding job. The youth were
happy to see him as he attended and assessed their
cultural programs. He was in Rutungia for his
Guided Diaconate and Pastoral Ministry. We also
had a few Sisters who were on the lookout for
prospective candidates to join their congregations.
Our house also has become empty as Vinod and
Santosh left for Loyola School, Sankhabhanga to
attend the Scholastics Get-Together 2013. Vinod
10 JAMSHEDPUR JESUITS
JUNE 2013
was invited to give some sessions on Jesuit
education. Ajit went to Phulbani to organize the
vocation camp for the Kandhamal region. Vinod,
Jyoti and Santosh attended the Province Assembly
and the Province Retreat. Bene, after attending the
Province Assembly, went back to Rutungia to take
care of the house and allow Ajit to continue the
vocation work. Meantime, Isidore was admitted to
Loyola Hospital for severe backache, and Santosh
to Mercy Hospital to recover from sun stroke.
On 2 May Gyanprakash Kujur and Biranchi
Soreng ventured into yet another fishing expedition
to Rayagada with the sole and single intention of
salvaging the present waning demography of the
Jamshedpur Jesuit Province. Mid-way to our
destination we found ourselves fully soaked with
perspiration, “Pssssss” went the left-back-wheel of
our Marshall!” momentarily deflating our buoyant
spirit of vocation promotion. “No problem!” beamed
Gyan and soon restored the jeep into running
condition. The very next day, the Lord rewarded us
with a catch that was nigh net-breaking of 15 top
quality “fish-for-our-mission”. The news flash of
increasing number by way of vocations would have
put Gyan right on top of the world as he was entirely
involved in vocation promotion, braving the
scorching summer.
With the “Province Assembly cum Annual Retreat”
fast approaching, all the community members were
hell bent on completing their pending tasks. John
Nag go t down to providing an excellent system to
ensure the security of our residence. Romanus
Kerketta worked as if there was no tomorrow as he
pushed ahead with two mega projects: “Mata Barba”
and “Inauguration of a new Church” at Ganjupada.
Biranchi had his hands full with a slew of meetings
for the expansion of the Odisha Citizens'
Initiatives - Subarnagiri Panchayat.
The face lift at Pajikeri is in full swing under the
supervision of Joe Anthony. On 15 May, Bipin
Kujur and Mahesh Nayak conducted a revitalizing
day-long youth camp creating a “Jubo Songho”
(youth group) for the parish. Three cheers to you,
Bipin and Mahesh!
Parish:
May was the busiest month of the year 2013 for our
Tumudibandha parish as 2 successive megaevents
reigned supreme in our calendar. On 1 May,
we had triple celebrations - “Mata Barba, First
Communion and Confirmation” with great pomp
under the able leadership of our beloved Archbishop
John Barwa, SVD. During the Eucharistic
celebration, the Archbishop enthused the faithful to
remain steadfast in their faith come what may.
On 2 May, the “Inauguration of the Ganjupada
Church” was superbly organized by both our parish
priests. To the tune of ear deafening drum His Grace
was accorded a red carpet welcome from a distance
of at least a kilometre. Interestingly, the church was
jam-packed and another half comfortably
accommodated themselves outside. After the
inaugural Eucharist, His Grace and the religious
were felicitated. A round of warm applause should
go to Romanus Kerketta and Bipin Kujur for
bringing to a successful conclusion two mega
events that made people sit up and take notice.
Odisha Citizens' Initiatives:
The month of May had additional pressure on our
monthly schedule since two significant events –
horticulture meeting and farmer's day stood out in
our calendar. As many as 50 farmers gathered
demonstrating a strong determination to go all out
for mango tree plantation to enhance their sources
of income. Similarly, farmer's day was celebrated
with traditional fanfare.. With the breaking of a
coconut in the paddy field, the sowing season of this
year was declared open and the process of sowing
inaugurated by Jilla Parishad himself.
XLRI
It was a time for changes at XLRI with reshuffling of
offices among the Jesuits: Tony was appointed
Dean of Administration; James S - Associate Dean
for Students' Affairs; Peter Francis -Admissions
Committee; George Fernandes - Administrator,
Financial Controller and Chairperson Purchase &
Housing Committee. While some of these changes
are effective from 15 May, others will come into force
at the beginning of June..
Abe kept himself occupied attending various Alumni
Chapters in different parts of the country and one in
Singapore. It is hoped that the alumni meetings will
yield a rich dividend in all aspects. Tony also joined
him in the Alumni meet at Chennai.
The registration of about 10 acres of land for XLRI –
Delhi, was inked on 17 May, paving the way for the
setting up the campus in the near future.
We had a few visitors from America - guests of Fr.
Cyril Fernandes- staying in our campus from 14-18
May. The community hosted a dinner for them on 16
May. Emile Coelho entertained them as he only can
with stories, jokes and songs. They were greatly
impressed by the campus and the hospitality of
XLRI.
formally inaugurated.
XLRI was abuzz with many Jesuit Programmes in
the month of May. The Jesuit community hosted a
dinner for the scholastics on 21 May. The Province
Assembly organized by Jerry Cutinha and team
and facilitated by George Joseph was quite
intense, giving us a glimpse of various works in the
Province and also provided an opportunity for
introspection as to what could be improved and what
could be shelved. The Triple Celebrations – the 3-in-
1 – felicitation of New Priests- Jubilarians – and
those called to Final Vows was an inspiring
occasion for the old and the young. Finally, this was
followed by a quiet period – the common Province
Retreat against the backdrop of the Bi-Centennial
Restoration of the Society, directed by Fr. Pat
D'Mello from Goa Province, which began on 25
evening. The Province Retreat brought together a
record number of 77 priests and 27 scholastics
George C L is spending time in giving valuable
information, tips and guidance to his successor
George Fernandes. He is also busy packing up as
he prepares to move to take up his new assignment
as Rector at Loyola School.
