Modal and Non-Modal Windows<br />

Non-modal windows, like the ones used for all JMP launch windows, are identical to reports and other<br />

display lists. Each of the following elements can be incorporated into them.<br />

The Dialog() function, which creates modal windows, is deprecated and might not work at all in future<br />

versions of JMP. Use New Window() with the Modal argument.<br />

If used in Dialog() instead of New Window(), the following functions cannot have the optional script<br />

attached to them. If you want an action associated with any of these controls, place a script as the control’s<br />

last argument. For example,<br />

comboObj = comboBox({“True”, “False”},
