Accessories<br />
Weather Cover<br />
Available on Arrangement 10 only, the weather cover is<br />
designed to enclose the motor, drive and bearing assembly,<br />
and is custom built to fit each unit.<br />
Flanged Inlet & Outlet<br />
For bolted connection, matching duct flanges are provided on<br />
both the inlet and outlet. Flanges are predrilled. Flanges are<br />
standard on heavy-duty fans.<br />
Belt and Shaft Guard<br />
Belt and shaft guards provide protection for personnel from<br />
moving parts. The belt guard includes a tachometer opening<br />
for checking the fan speed.<br />
Inlet Guard<br />
A spiral wire type safety guard is offered as an accessory for<br />
attachment to the fan inlet when no duct connection is used.<br />
Inlet Cone<br />
Available for sizes 16" through 79". Performances shown in<br />
this catalog are for <strong>MH</strong> fans with inlet cone and outlet ducts.<br />
Entrance loss must be added to static pressure calculated for<br />
the system when no inlet duct is used. For open inlets, that loss<br />
is equal to the fan velocity pressure.<br />
Example: 4,000 FPM velocity = 1" static pressure. Using<br />
the inlet orifice and guard such losses become<br />
minimal.<br />
