In 2007, out of the total number of 338,300 asylum applications,<br />
Europe received 254,200 applications, i.e. 13% more than the previous year.<br />
The changes in the top 10 countries for which asylum applications<br />
were lodged between 2004 and 2007 are shown in Table 6.<br />
