The 11th Annual Spring Interlude,<br />

“Oh, the Places You’ll Go”,<br />

which benefits the Music and Art<br />

Programs was a gre<strong>at</strong> success! The<br />

Holiday Inn was bursting with the<br />

energy of over 220 guests. The<br />

event was festive with the professional<br />

décor by Robert Kramer,<br />

brother of former teacher, K<strong>at</strong>hy<br />

K<strong>at</strong>h. The evening fe<strong>at</strong>ured “dinner<br />

from around the world”. The delicious<br />

food from Mexico, France,<br />

Asia, Sweden and Italy was displayed<br />

under decor<strong>at</strong>ive tents representing<br />

each country.<br />

Cindy Johnson was the winner of the $1,000 travel<br />

certific<strong>at</strong>e from Travel Travel. Monica Arens won the<br />

vac<strong>at</strong>ion to Cabo Villas, Cab San Lucas, Mexico, don<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

by Jed and Amy Erickson. Nona Willet won the John<br />

Deere Riding Lawn Mower, which was don<strong>at</strong>ed from<br />

Richard Steffl.<br />

Thank you to all of our sponsors. The “Gold” sponsors<br />

were Knuttila Financial Services and Foltz Trucking.<br />

The “Star” sponsors were Arvig, BTD Manufacturing,<br />

Foltz Buildings, Lakeshirts, Morrison Eye Care, Nereson<br />

Sport Shop. Also, thank you to the businesses in our<br />

community who don<strong>at</strong>ed cash or gifts!<br />

Every year C<strong>at</strong>hy Larson, art teacher, and her students,<br />

hand craft something special to go along with our<br />

theme. This year they painted pl<strong>at</strong>ters representing countries,<br />

with the Lord’s Prayer in th<strong>at</strong> language. The pl<strong>at</strong>ters<br />

were sold on the live and silent auctions. MacKenzie<br />

Braukmann, former student, was the chosen artist for this<br />

year’s theme.<br />
