W h<strong>at</strong> is a endowment? An endowment is a gift of cash, investment securities, life<br />
insurance, real est<strong>at</strong>e, personal property, charitable trusts, bequests (gifts by terms of a will),<br />
or anything of value th<strong>at</strong> can be sold and the proceeds reinvested. An endowment can memorialize<br />
an individual or family or the giver can remain anonymous. Funds are conserv<strong>at</strong>ively<br />
invested to gener<strong>at</strong>e current income. The principal amount is never spent and continually<br />
provides annual income to support your charity. Think about <strong>Holy</strong> <strong>Rosary</strong> <strong>School</strong> for your<br />

Kindergarten Teacher<br />
Retires<br />
Mrs. K<strong>at</strong>herine K<strong>at</strong>h, kindergarten<br />
teacher, retired after 29 years of<br />
service in May of 2012.<br />
We still see her smiling face almost<br />
everyday, however, as she likes to<br />
volunteer <strong>at</strong> school in the morning<br />
room, driving students to programs,<br />
or reading to the kindergarten class.<br />

We welcome our new faculty and<br />
staff to our school family!<br />
Kimberly Goetsch, kindergarten<br />
teacher, is from W<strong>at</strong>ertown, SD. She<br />
gradu<strong>at</strong>ed from Moorhead St<strong>at</strong>e University.<br />
She is happily settling into her<br />
new home in Detroit Lakes and loving<br />
her first year out of college. Kimberly<br />
was interning <strong>at</strong> HRS and Rossman<br />
Elementary last spring and fell in love<br />
with <strong>Holy</strong> <strong>Rosary</strong>.<br />
Nona Willet is our new part-time<br />
technology teacher. She taught technology<br />
for 18 years <strong>at</strong> M-St<strong>at</strong>e. She has<br />
two daughters who <strong>at</strong>tend <strong>Holy</strong> <strong>Rosary</strong><br />
<strong>School</strong>. Annika, is in 5th grade, and<br />
Shaylee in 3rd grade. Nona is originally<br />
from Park Rapids and has made Detroit<br />
Lakes her home for several years.<br />
B.J. Herdzina is our new cook. She<br />
formally owned and oper<strong>at</strong>ed the<br />
Brewed Awakening Coffee Shop in<br />
DL. She is married to Robert and has<br />
two children, Bobbi and Joey. They<br />
both <strong>at</strong>tended <strong>Holy</strong> <strong>Rosary</strong> and gradu<strong>at</strong>ed<br />
from DLHS and are both finished<br />
