scientifi c concepts are related to individual needs during the changing life cycles.<br />
Interrelationships <strong>of</strong> nutrients are evaluated for promotion <strong>of</strong> optimum health.<br />

Modifi cation <strong>of</strong> the normal diet to meet the needs <strong>of</strong> individuals according to age, disease,<br />
surgery and other health conditions. Current concepts <strong>of</strong> diet modifi cation related to health<br />
are explored. Diets frequently used in health care institutions are included.<br />
