Universally, much ofthe teen pregnancy problem
is fed by the media, advertising and
entertainment industry messages that depict
sex almost as a sport or leisure-time activity.
Don't tell the hardships and negative
consequences of sex. Is this changing?

• The decision to have sex (or not) is one of the biggest
choices of your life.
• Talking about things like post-paning, protection, and
getting can be awkward. But, avoiding a little
embarrassment is not worth risking your life.

of safer intimacy.
• Real freedom requires responsibility.

The most Important components of a relationship are love,
respect, caring having a sense of humor, and honest
communication without violating private thoughts and
experiences.
Violence, being tired most of the time, having love seem more like
a burden than a joy, having thoughts like "maybe things will get
better," and having a partner who frequently makes promises
that aren't kept are sign of immature love.
