Switching the Phone On<br />
and Off<br />
Press and hold the<br />
key <strong>for</strong> a second.<br />
If the phone asks <strong>for</strong> a PIN code:<br />
The PIN code is usually supplied with the SIM<br />
card.<br />
Warning! Do not switch on the phone<br />
when wireless phone use is prohibited or<br />
when it may cause interference or danger.<br />
As with any other radio transmitting device,<br />
do not touch the antenna unnecessarily<br />
when the phone is switched on.<br />
Contact with the antenna affects call<br />
quality and may cause the phone to operate<br />
at a higher power level than otherwise<br />
needed.<br />
The Display Indicators<br />
The indicators described below are shown when<br />
the phone is ready <strong>for</strong> use, with no characters<br />
entered by the user. This is also called ‘a clear<br />
display’.<br />
• Key in the PIN code, which is displayed as asterisks<br />
✱, and press (OK).<br />

OPER-<br />
ATOR<br />
P and bar<br />
T and bar<br />
Indicates in which cellular network<br />
the phone is currently used.<br />
Shows the radio signal strength of<br />
the cellular network at your current<br />
location. The more bars are visible,<br />
the stronger is the signal.<br />
Shows how much power there is<br />
left in the battery. The more bars<br />
visible, the more power in the battery.<br />
1 or 2 Indicates which phone line is currently<br />
selected <strong>for</strong> use.<br />
