In 2013, 29 companies directed Letters of Intent (LoIs) to Nigeria (with 1 more<br />

making reference to working in the country). As previously mentioned, a selection<br />

of these companies signed their LoIs in June 2013, providing them with only half<br />

a year to progress their investments. Grow Africa therefore started the reporting<br />

process later in Nigeria, and at the time of going to press with this report, company<br />

updates were only partially gathered.<br />

Contribute to adding value to the cassava value<br />

chain by establishing a fully-mechanised 15,000<br />

ha cassava plantation and processing plant (with<br />

capacity to produce up to 100,000 tonnes p.a. of<br />

high-grade cassava starch phased in over 7 years),<br />

creating 3,500 jobs directly and 1,500 in ancillary<br />

services.<br />
