have a timeframe up to<br />

Q1 2008 and in terms <strong>of</strong><br />

action items, will<br />

concentrate on short<br />

term issues which are<br />

achievable within the<br />

decentralisation context.<br />

<strong>The</strong> process <strong>of</strong><br />

continuing to establish<br />

PMDS as a mainstream<br />

management function<br />

will continue in 2006.<br />

• Development <strong>of</strong><br />

Peoples<strong>of</strong>t.<br />

• It was agreed with<br />

D/Finance that OPW<br />

will be reached in the<br />

implementation<br />

rollout in May 2006.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Peoples<strong>of</strong>t project<br />

is now being handled<br />

centrally by CMOD and<br />

rolled out progressively<br />

by them to Departments<br />

and <strong>Office</strong>s on a<br />

shared services basis.<br />

corporate reporting<br />

arrangements to<br />

disseminate critical<br />

work activity and<br />

financial information<br />

and to support<br />

informed and timely<br />

decision-making.<br />

• Implementation <strong>of</strong> MIF<br />

• <strong>The</strong> new Financial<br />

Management System<br />

will go live in April<br />

2006. This will be an<br />

integral part <strong>of</strong> the<br />

new system and will<br />

be followed by later<br />

phases in the<br />

development <strong>of</strong> the<br />

MIF which will expand<br />

the role <strong>of</strong> the system<br />

in the management <strong>of</strong><br />

the <strong>Office</strong>.<br />

Progress has been made<br />

in respect <strong>of</strong> making<br />

tender / bid material<br />

available electronically to<br />

facilitate the contracting<br />

community.<br />

Advances have been<br />

made locally within<br />

Business Units where<br />

preparations have been<br />

made for the delivery <strong>of</strong><br />

e-services; this includes<br />

the regular provision <strong>of</strong><br />

material such as design<br />
