Technical Education Center Osceola (TECO) & Adult Learning Center Osceola TECO is an institution designed to train individuals for entry-level employment, to improve current job skills for our employed students, and to provide quality training services for local business and industry. TECO serves adults and high school students. Day and evening programs provide accommodating hours for working adults who want to improve their technical or trade skills. Students may obtain certifications and/or licenses in the following programs: • Accounting Operations • Administrative Assistant • Automotive Technology • Business Computer Programming • Certified Nursing Assistant • Commercial Foods and Culinary Arts • Computer Assisted Drafting • CPR/First Aid • Digital Design • EMT • Electricity • EVOC • Firefighter 1 • HVACR • Home Health Aide • Legal Administrative Specialist • Licensed Practical Nurse • Medical Administrative Specialist • Medical Assistant • Pharmacy Technician • Phlebotomy • Web Design Services • Web Programming Services • Wireless Telecommunications www.teco.osceola.k12.us 407-344-5080 Career And Skills Enrichment (CASE) provides quality practical hands-on training to adults with special needs. Through the combined efforts of Career and Technical Education (CTE), TECO and Vocational Rehabilitation, this population of students is offered the following six new programs: • Culinary Arts • Automotive Detailing • Pet Grooming • Basic Automotive Maintenance • Commercial Sewing Services • Basic Computer Skills Adult Learning Center Osceola (ALCO) provides day and evening classes for Adult High School, Literacy, Adult Basic Education, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and GED. All students are tested for placement in classes to meet their needs. • Adult Basic Education Program (ABE) is for individuals wishing to improve their reading, writing, and math skills to prepare for the GED exam or to transition into the workplace or higher academic or vocational training. • Adult High School - This program is for individuals who dropped out of high school and wish to return and earn the credits they need for their high school diploma. • Challenger is a high school completion program for those 16 - 21 years of age. Students are awarded a regular high school diploma from their home school. • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) is for adults whose first language is not English and who want to develop their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. • General Educational Development (GED) classes are for adults who wish to improve their basic skills in preparation for the GED exam. ALCO is the Official GED Testing Center in Osceola County. • Corporate Services Institute (CSI) provides education and customized training to meet the needs of employers. Individual self-enrichment classes are available as well as meeting space. ALCO also offers the following classes: Citizenship, Computer, and Conversational English.
