major new exhibition at Tate
Modern, Exposed: Voyeurism,
Surveillance and the Camera
is a timely and thoughtprovoking
examination of
images that were taken surreptitiously
and without the
expressed permission of the
subject. Featuring a range of
over 250 photographic works
dating from the late-nineteenth
century to the present
day, Exposed considers the
themes of eroticism, celebrity
and conflict as documented
from behind the lens of an
unseen photographer. As
well as images accrued from
CCTV stills and contributed
by amateur photographers,
pictures by artists
including Guy Bourdin and
Robert Frank are featured
while, more generally, the
exhibition considers the
proliferation of new media
and the potential for further
breaches of privacy.

Responsible for one of our favourite albums of the year so
far (Family Jewels), the lovely Marina and the Diamonds
(the moniker for Welsh-Greek songstress Marina Diamandis)
will be performing over two nights amidst the art deco

Acclaimed as the world’s number one Liza Minelli tribute act,
Rick Skye returns to these shores this month on a short UK
tour. Offering more than an evening of mere impersonation,
Rick offers warm-hearted parodies of such classic Liza songs
as ‘Mein Herr’, ‘Don’t Tell Mama’ and ‘Sara Lee’, as well as a
tribute to Liza’s mother, Judy Garland. Catch the show on 20-
21 May at 7.45pm at the London New Players Theatre,
The Arches, Villiers Street, WC2. Tickets cost £15-£25.
