preening, a new lick of
paint, some new furniture
and a whole new lighter
and brighter colour scheme
of cream and gold, Shadow
Lounge threw a duo of Gold
parties to celebrate its new look,
the new decade and the lighter
mood of summer. Buff boys were
glittered up Shadow Lounge-style,
complementary champagne and
cocktails flowed and canapés
were served to an A-list of gay
and gay-friendly partygoers that
included Cilla Black, Paul O’Grady,
Brian Paddick and more. Kris Di
Angelis and Mark Bambach played
an eclectic mix of disco, dance,
house and a sprinkling of R’n’B
while Barbara Bush schooshed thru
the crowd all Gaga-esque. Sexy
Soho urbanites mixed with Hoxton
trendies, and telly celebs with
fabulous trannies in this amazing
night of hand-picked invitees and
their friends. Also launching was
Shadow Lounge’s new nightly
schedule with PAs and parties
designed to entertain throughout
the week – whether it be cabaret,
dancing or live singers that rock
