is another new initiative at
Profile on Wardour Street.
The bar has teamed up
with gay accommodation
agency Outlet – based
on Old Compton Street.
Recognising that finding the perfect pad, trustworthy tenant or likeminded roommate
can be a nightmare, they’ve come up with an inventive, informal way for house hunters
to meet gay-friendly landlords, or potential housemates – over a cocktail or two.
“Instead of trawling across the capital in search of a new home, Speed Flat Dating is a
fun and free one-stop-shop. Based on the principle of speed dating, property seekers can
introduce themselves to a host of landlords and potential flatmates from across London
in a relaxed and sociable setting. Ask questions, swap notes, and find out about each
other whilst having a great time doing it. Friends are more than welcome to come along
and lend a helping hand or offer a word of advice.”
The first Speed Flat Dating event took place in March, and will return on Wednesday

EUROTRASH
Eurotrash is the name
of a new monthly
session at the Dalston
Superstore from
promoters and DJs
Per QX and Alejandro
Asencio. Taking place
on the second Friday of
each month, it returns
for its second outing
on 14 May. Per QX, Jeff
Lawrence and a special
guest till take charge of
the main floor, spinning
a mix of Europeanderived
house, mash-up electro and ravey indie tunes.
Miss Crystal MC will lend support on the microphone.
Upstairs, you’ll find Jeanette (Boombox), Sloany and
Alejandro Asencio spinning the 80s and 90s Euro pop.
There will be a specific continental flavour depending
on the guest DJ, so last month (April) they presented
Eurotrash goes Dutch with guest DJ Lupe Lambers (from
Amsterdam). At the time of going to press, the team
were still confirming their guest DJ for May, but expect
another continental-flavoured, eclectic outing.
Doors are open from 10pm till 2am, and admission is
free all night. You’ll find the Dalston Superstore at 117
Kingsland High Street, E8 2PB.
