BEAR PRIDE 2010<br />

<strong>The</strong> XXL boys are busier than ever<br />

at the moment. Apart from their<br />

regular Saturday and Wednesday<br />

night sessions they’re putting the<br />

final touches to this year’s Bear Pride<br />

festival. This annual event – this year<br />

will again be raising funds for the<br />

Terrence Higgins Trust and Albert<br />

Kennedy Trust – will be taking place over the six days between 26-31 May. It will all kick<br />

off with a XXL Bear Pride Pre-Party at XXL on Wednesday 26 May. This will be followed<br />

by a ‘Bears and Boots’ party at Oink on 27 May, and then a Friday Night social at the<br />

Kings Arms on Poland Street. <strong>The</strong> action moves up to Birmingham on the Friday, when the<br />

monthly XXL date up there hosts an ‘XXL British Brummie Bear Ball’ at the Nightingale club.<br />

<strong>The</strong> headline Bear Pride event is the ‘Bear Pride – Attack Of <strong>The</strong> Beards party at the<br />

London XXL night on Saturday 29 May. Joining resident jocks Alex Logan and Christian<br />

M behind the decks will be special guests Cahill – otherwise known as producers and<br />

remixers Tim Condran, Anton Powers and Scott Rosser. <strong>The</strong> trio have already scored chart<br />

success in their own right with the track ‘Trippin On You’, as well as remixing a host of<br />

top artists. Joe Egg will spin his indie and retro selection in the back bar, there will be<br />

additional film screenings and an outdoor cabaret stage, plus a ‘reality’ competition<br />

<strong>The</strong> Saturday night session will be followed by the next instalment of bank holiday<br />

party Fusion (Sunday 30 May), which will feature another exclusive appearance<br />

from the Freemasons. <strong>The</strong> weekend will wind up with a Wet Bears sauna (location to<br />

promoter Alex Erfan who is famous for presenting dance<br />

parties such as Salvation and Lovechild. <strong>The</strong> festival will<br />

take place at some of the hottest venues in Vauxhall,<br />

with the highlight due to take place on Sunday 30<br />
