The RVT has plenty of entertainment
lined up throughout May. If you’ve not
yet caught any of the current series of Scott Capurro’s Position, you can catch the last
outing of the current run on Thursday 6 May, when the special guests will be Jimmy Carr,
Stephen Merchant and Nina Conti. Tickets cost £9 and can be bought, apart from on the
door, through www.ticketweb.co.uk or by calling: 08444 771000.
As May has a couple of bank holidays, there are extra S.L.A.G.S/Chill-Out sessions
planned. Expect an extra-long session of the Sunday chill-out till 2am on Sunday 2 May,
followed by another helping on Monday 3 May – both with DJs Simon Le Vans, Andy
On Wednesday 5 May, the night before the General Election, performer Nathan Evans will
Dusty Limits, Sarah-Louise Young and Michael Roulston. “Ballot begins 7pm, hustings
from 8pm exit polls midnight - Entry £7”.
Speaking of David Hoyle, he will also be returning to the RVT this month for another
shows, and will commence on 13 May and will run each Thursday afterwards for a
limited period. Doors will open at 7pm and tickets cost £8.50. Expect stimulating
conversation, confrontational cabaret, avant-garde performance and special guests.
Another May highlight comes on Wednesday 19 May, when the Fringe Report 2010
cabaret’, you can expect entertainment from Sarah Louise Young, Kitty Kavanagh, ‘Ariadne
the Greek WAG’, Liz Bentley, Maureen Younger and Toni Green. All tickets cost £5 and the
performance starts at £8.30.
