KU BAR

There are loads of reasons to
love the two Ku Bars… from the
rammed-to-the-rafters plethora of
cute-as-a-button punters to the huge
variety of entertainment on offer
across the venues’ bars and club, or
the new tasty line in lunchtime food
to the naughty-but-nice slice of cake
with your Sunday afternoon tea. But
mostly because their up-for-anything
bar staff will jump out of their clothes
and in to a tight and skimpy outfit at
the mere mention of the words ‘bank
holiday’! Easter weekend proved no
exception as a parade of bunny boys
with cotton tails, tighty whitey shorts
and long socks pulled pints and forced
whipped cream-topped chocolate
shots down our necks. We clearly
weren’t alone in our appreciation
as the Lisle Street bar was mobbed
with revellers taking advantage of
the mild weather and looking to at
least bag themselves – if not the
real thing – then a foil-covered Lindt
bunny. Downstairs, Lady Lloyd and
DJP kept it commercial and poppy,
spinning funky remixes of songs we
strangely knew every word to while
the young and frolicsome crowd
made the absolute most of their
four-day weekend. Spring sprung
with a vengeance at Ku and really set
the mood for the summer to come,
so sprinklers at the ready ‘cause it
gonna be hot.
