Awareness <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Park</strong><br />
Word <strong>of</strong> mouth is by far the most commonly reported source <strong>of</strong> initial knowledge about<br />
the <strong>Park</strong> for visitors surveyed (Table 25, Figure 22). This medium accounts for 63.4%<br />
(492 <strong>of</strong> 776) in the fall sample and 62.3% (589 <strong>of</strong> 946) in the spring sampling period.<br />
This distribution persists when considered by season and by site (Table 26, Figure 23).<br />
Maps and books were a less commonly reported source <strong>of</strong> initial awareness about the<br />
<strong>Park</strong>.<br />
