белыми линиями, плавно взлетает вверх и отражается в зеркальном
потолке. Игра цвета, полутонов и теней, многообразие
изломов и устремленность вверх создают гармоничное
пространство, наполненное энергией.
Интерьер отеля «Космополит» собран из вещей, имеющих
свой характер и не принадлежащих к одному стилю.
Ведь истинный космополит – человек, уважающий все культуры,
но не отдающий предпочтение какой-то одной. Этот
отель создан для воистину свободного человека, гражданина

The constructivism adepts
dreamt of a new type of harmonic
human being who would live in a
comfortable city and would make use of
convenient things. Save for some negative
experience of the Soviet Russia in this
field of activity, the idea itself is quite
good, indeed; a harmonic environment
where everything one would need is
available and there is nothing excessive.
Such way of internal setup of premises
has become the design basis for Cosmopolit
Hotel ('Cosmopolitan') in Kharkov.
This art hotel, which is a sample of how
the present-day constructivism can be
made real, should be described by the
notions of minimalism, ultimate convenience,
and maximum functionality, and
this is the one-off art hotel in the Ukraine
nowadays.
No wonder that such hotel can be
found exactly in Kharkov, for this city is
considered to be the home to the Soviet
constructivism style. Cosmopolit Hotel is
harmonically integrated into a complex of
modern business premises, and that further
adds to the idea of a multifunctional
location and combination of everything
one would require in one single building.
The hotel’s interior is ruled by the
concept of ultimate convenience, but
some traits of luxury and mere comfort
are found there as well. The building’s
hallways and rooms have been decorated
with original paintings by Ukrainian
craftspeople and handmade pieces of
furniture. It is exactly the cute interior
design combined with artworks that distinguishes
all of the art hotels worldwide.
The black and white paintings at the walls
further emphasize the individuality of
each room in the hotel. The bathrooms
have been designed in a way that nothing
odd can be found there and the monotonous
stoneware tiles at the floor and on
the walls further strengthen this style.
At the lobby, one can see a pink mosaic
carpet in white frames; it smoothly goes
upward and returns to our sight, reflected
in the mirrors on the ceiling. The play of
colors, undertones and shadows, and the
variety of broken lines, and the upward
directions of the interior altogether produce
a harmonic space full of energy.
The interiors of Cosmopolit Hotel
have been made up of the things that
have their own characters and do not belong
to any particular style. It is because
a true cosmopolitan is a person who respects
all cultures, with no preference to
any specific one. And this hotel was made
for truly free people being the citizens of
the world… the new world. 0
