Membership & Outreach Accomplishments
Once again in 2007, Rock the Earth had a dedicated team of volunteers educating music fans across the United States
at over 100 concerts and festivals. Our Internship Program, now in its third year, continues to be an important part
of our success. With a total of 7 Education and Outreach interns, RtE participated in more events around the country
than otherwise would have been possible.
Our fourth year of operation was full of exciting opportunities, accomplishments and new connections.
In 2007, RtE …
• gained the support of 2,075 members and increased our constituent base to over 14,000 people;
• renewed 280 of our members, increasing our member retention rate to 25%;
• recruited almost 1,800 potential volunteers and organized 130 volunteers nationwide
• raised over $65,000 in RtE memberships to support our project work and outreach;
• volunteers donated over 10,000 hours of time to further RtE’s mission;
• worked 95 events in 26 states, totaling 126 concert dates;
• completed our fourth Education and Outreach Summer Tour over 17 weeks, working 82 events over four months,
in which we raised over $29,000, gained 625 new members and 3,250 new contacts on our mailing list.

• attended high-profile music festivals such as Bonaroo, Gathering
of the Vibes, High Sierra Music Festival, Green Apple
Music Festival in Chicago and San Francisco, Jam Cruise,
The Echo Project, and Langerado.
This was a year of reaching out to new music communities. We were
excited to be part of Ozzfest and the Vans Warped Tour since
those tours attract music fans of different genres of music than we
have reached in the past. Educating music fans from a diversity of
locations, demographics and age groups is important to us so we try
to partner with musicians and bands from different genres. We’re
happy to say we have gained the respect and support from over 50
artists in the four years RtE has been defending the planet.
