Student Accommodation
Fire Wardens
Residential Student Advisors (RSA’s) will be trained and act as Fire Wardens in case of fire or other
emergency. All residents may at times have a role to play in an emergency and should be prepared
to take the role of the Fire Warden if required. Upon the fire alarms sounding occupants must
evacuate the building immediately. You must obey the instructions of the fire warden wearing the
Yellow/White hat. Fire Warden hats (yellow) are supplied in each residence. RSA’s will be trained
by the University of Melbourne as Fire Wardens shortly after commencement.
