Yarrawonga - Ritchie’s IGA, 10 min walk to town centre.<br />
Other Supermarkets in each town are accessible by car.<br />
Motor Vehicles/Parking<br />
Please observe speed restrictions. Car parks are provided at<br />
each residence for resident parking only. Please do not park<br />
in the spaces provided for staff and visitors <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Rural</strong> <strong>Health</strong><br />
Academic Centre.<br />
Parking on grassed areas is prohibited. Vehicles must only be<br />
driven in a forward direction when entering and leaving the site.<br />
Any loading/unloading <strong>of</strong> vehicles must be carried out in the<br />
parking areas provided.<br />
The RHAC does not accept responsibility for the security<br />
<strong>of</strong> residents’ cars. Please keep cars locked and make sure<br />
appropriate insurance is maintained. Shepparton - Parking<br />
Permits for student residential parking are available from<br />
the RHAC’s Reception. All students must have a permit<br />
displayed to park on site.<br />
Newspapers<br />
Local and national newspapers are available at each hospital<br />
Library.<br />
Noise<br />
Undue noise disturbs fellow residents trying to study and<br />
may seriously disrupt the residential community. Please use<br />
headphones to listen to loud music and otherwise ensure that<br />
TVs, stereos and radios are inaudible outside rooms when the<br />
door is shut. Door slamming, loud conversation and other noisy<br />
activity should be avoided in consideration <strong>of</strong> others working or<br />
relaxing in their rooms.<br />
Residents disturbed by undue noise have a right and obligation<br />
to request quiet. If repeated requests are ignored please see<br />
the Residential Student Advisor or RHAC’s Reception.<br />
Parties and Functions<br />
Small gatherings <strong>of</strong> residents are permitted. Large functions<br />
require permission in advance from the RHAC’s Reception and<br />
in accordance with the <strong>University</strong>’s policies, residents must<br />
complete an event Management and Safety Checklist. Any<br />
additional cleaning required to the unit/accommodation as a<br />
result <strong>of</strong> parties or other group activities will be charged to the<br />
group holding the party or group activity.<br />
If no-one accepts responsibility all residents <strong>of</strong> the unit/<br />
accommodation will be charged equally.
