convenience store in Malmo, at the<br />
northeast corner of Hwy 47 and CR<br />
18. For those not up to the challenge<br />
of the Paul Bunyan Double Century,<br />
we offer an alternative; an A/B<br />
distance ride at a comfortable B/C<br />
pace. Your choice, once or twice<br />
around the lake (Paul swears this is<br />
the year he goes twice around). The<br />
route is flat and easy to follow and<br />
very scenic. We will make at least two<br />
stops, in Wahkon and in Garrison at<br />
the Spotlight Cafe. If the weather is at<br />
all a concern (we've started in the rain<br />
the last two years), please call one of<br />
the ride leaders to see if the ride is still<br />

Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge.<br />
Our routes cover Elk River, Big Lake,<br />
Zimmerman, Otsego, Dayton, and<br />

on quiet country roads, low traffic and<br />

SAT BIKE TO BREAKFAST:<br />
WHITE BEAR EXPRESS. Depart from<br />
Centennial Church, 1524 West County<br />
Road C2, Roseville, corner of C2 and<br />
Snelling. The route follows some trails<br />
and mostly bike-friendly roads<br />
directly to White Bear Lake for<br />
breakfast at Keys Cafe. The return<br />
follows the southern portion of the<br />
Pink Express route through the Lake<br />
Vadnais - Lake Owasso area which is a<br />
little hilly. Look it up in the <strong>TCBC</strong> Bike<br />
Atlas, 7th edition. An optional loop<br />
from the starting point up through<br />
Mounds View and past lakes Valentine<br />
and Johanna completes the 34-mile<br />
