WATERCARNIVAL. Depart from<br />

Hutchinson Middle School, 1365<br />

South Grade Road SW, Hutchinson.<br />

It’s an easy one hour drive west of the<br />

<strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Cities</strong> on Hwy 7, one hour south<br />

of St. Cloud on Hwy 15, or 45 minutes<br />

north of New Ulm on Hwy 15. The<br />

Watercarnival Bike <strong>Ride</strong> offers two<br />

very scenic, enjoyable rides. The <strong>TCBC</strong><br />

Outreach ride is the 65 mile loop. Bike<br />

from town to a rest stop in Piepenberg<br />

County Park, on Belle Lake. Then turn<br />

north and travel thru much of the<br />

scenic lake country and pass thru the<br />

towns of Dassel and Litchfield, before<br />

returning back to Hutchinson. This<br />

route also includes biking along the<br />

Crow River on the Luce Line trail, and<br />

includes two additional rest stops.<br />

ROCK. Depart from the park on the<br />

river in Maiden Rock. Cross into<br />

Wisconsin at Prescott or Red Wing<br />

and take WI 35 south to the town of<br />

Maiden Rock on Lake Pepin, then<br />

turn towards the river on Chestnut<br />

St. Little-traveled rural roads with a<br />

few challenging hills. Watch for<br />

details on <strong>TCBC</strong> "<strong>Ride</strong>s and Trips"<br />

message board during the week<br />

before ride. If weather threatens,<br />

check "<strong>Ride</strong> Cancel Delay" message<br />

board at 7:00 AM or contact ride<br />

leader before 7:45 AM on morning of<br />

ride. A canceled Saturday ride will be<br />

rescheduled (via the message board)<br />

for the next day whenever feasible.<br />
