PARTICIPATION IN INTERNATIONAL YOUNG FILM MAKERS FESTIVAL 2012
As part of its constant efforts to inculcate life skills
through different activities, our school participated in
the International Young Film Makers Festival 2012 in
the month of October. The event was organised by
'Expressions India'. More than 45 schools from all over
India participated in the festival. Our students of class
X made a short movie 'Aagaaz: A new beginning' .The
movie was based on HIV/AIDS and the challenges of
adolescence education. A group of eight students
worked hard on each aspect of the movie like script,
direction, sets, location, editing and sound.The festival
was organised on 30 and 31 October 2012 at the
National Science Centre, Delhi. All the movies were
screened on the first day and judged by a panel of
judges from the field of media and film making. On the
second day, workshops related to movie making were
conducted in which various aspects of film making
were explained to students. The workshop on creative
writing by noted journalist Sonal Kalra was truly
enriching. The judges appreciated the efforts of the
students and certificates of participation were given to
all. Participation in this festival gave our students an
opportunity to expand their horizons and express
themselves.
