AITA TENNIS TOURNAMENT INTER ZONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT St. Mark’s Senior <strong>Sec</strong>ondary <strong>Public</strong> School organised the St. Mark’s Open Tennis Tournament from 20 October to 28 October 2012. The tournament was held in their school premises and saw participation from a large number of schools. A number of girls from our school participated in the tournament and won prizes in different categories. The tournament was very well organised and gave our students a platform to display their talent. AITA TENNIS TOURNAMENT If you can react the same way to winning and losing, that's a big accomplishment. That quality is important because it stays with you for the rest of your life. Gurbani Arora of class XI A understands the meaning of this quote. She participated in the AITA Tennis Tournament held at the Advanced Tennis Academy from 22 to 26 October 2012. In the U-16 singles category, she qualified till the first round of the main draw. The very talented player is currently ranking 380 all over India. RAMJAS BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE Sports are an integral part of the overall development of a student. They enhance their leadership skills and confidence. The students of our school participated in the Ramjas Basketball Championship League held at Ramjas School, R.K. Puram from 17 September 2012 to 21 September 2012. They all showed a commendable performance and made the school proud. Supriya Malhotra of IX C, Rashima Taneja of X B, Prerna Pandey of X C, Radha Berry of X C, Manvi Bhalla of X A, Manvi Chaudhary of X C, Ustat Kaur of X A, Aashna Arora of VIII B, Mansi Marwah of X B, Arushi Mishra of IX B, Lavisha Vig of X A and Simi Nagpal participated in the tournament. KORFBALL NATIONALS Sportsmanship is an attitude that strives for fair play, courtesy toward teammates and opponents, ethical behavior and integrity, and grace in victory or defeat. With that very attitude, Ustat Kaur of X A from our school participated in the Korfball Sub-Junior Nationals held in Calcutta from 2 November to 8 November 2012. The zealous participant brought laurels to the school by securing the IInd position in the championship. Our school is proud of her and she is appreciated by all. The wave of enthusiasm and dedication among our students pulled them to the AITA Tennis Tournament held from 26 November to 30 November 2012. Gurbani Arora of class XI A participated in the tournament in the U-16 singles category. CBSE LAWN TENNIS TOURNAMENT ST. MARK’S OPEN TENNIS TOURNAMENT Ustat Kaur-winner of the Korfball Nationals. The basketball players of our school qualified through the zonal level of basketball and entered the inter zone competition held in F U Block, Pitampura on 17 October. Prakriti Gianey, Ustat Kaur and Manvi Bhala of X A, Rashmi Taneja of X B, Akansha Chaudhary, Manvi Chaudhary and Radha Berry of X C and Supriya Malhotra of IX C participated in the tournament. The best things about the students of our school is that whatever they do, they do it by giving their best. They recently participated in the CBSE Lawn Tennis tournament held at MM <strong>Public</strong> School, Pitampura from 12 October to 15 October 2012. Nancy Yadav of IX A, Khyati Kumar and Lavika of IX B and Sanchi Maurya of VIII C participated in the U-14 category while Chaandi Malhotra of IX A, Shubhangi of IX B, Preet Kaur of X B and Gurbani Arora of XI B participated in the U-19 category.
