BADMINTON ZONALS<br />

The badminton champs of our school participated in the Badminton Zonal Competition held at SKV B-3 Paschim Vihar<br />

from 1 September to 6 September 2012.Our junior team as well as the senior team brought laurels to the school by<br />

bagging the I and the II position respectively. The sub-juniors also participated in the competition and performed well.<br />

CBSE BADMINTON TOURNAMENT<br />

LEG CRICKET NATIONALS (U-19)<br />

Sports can help improve one’s stamina and concentration. The extremely talented girls of our school showcased their<br />

talent in the Leg Cricket Nationals (U-19 category) held in Mumbai (Kalyan) from 3 October to 9 October 2012. Akansha<br />

Choudhary of X B and Nidhi Rathi of X B scooped the 1 position and brought laurels to the school. Their skill and effort was<br />

put forth during the various matches and brought them immense accolade.<br />

“Speed in tennis is a strange mixture of intuition, guesswork,<br />

footwork and hair-trigger reflexes.” The AITA National<br />

Ranking Tennis Tournament was one of the grandest events<br />

held at Pro-Tennis Academy from 5 November to 9<br />

November 2012. Gurbani Arora of our school managed to<br />

reach the pre-quarterfinals of the tournament. This<br />

tournament gave her the much needed exposure to further<br />

develop her talent and confidence.<br />

Sports makes a growing child polish his skills and give them<br />

an opportunity to work in a team, and to be patient as well as<br />

prompt. The students of our school participated in the CBSE<br />

Badminton Tournament held at Ludlow Castle School from<br />

12 October to 15 October 2012. Niharika Grover, Ankita<br />

Baluja and <strong>Sr</strong>ishti Bhatia of XA participated in the<br />

tournament. The girls made us proud of their endeavour by<br />

reaching the quarter- finals.<br />
