INTERSCHOOL SKATING COMPETITION Sports allow one to gain the satisfaction of developing ones fitness and skills. It helps aid coordination, balance and flexibility. The zealous girls of our school are very active in sports. They recently participated in an Inter School Skating Competition held at St Marks Senior Secondary Public School. The students managed to scoop up many positions by putting forth their every bit. SARA-NCR TALENT HUNT BADMINTON TOURNAMENT The most important thing in sports is not winning but fighting well. The enthusiastic badminton players of our school participated in the SARA-NCR Talent Hunt Badminton Tournament held at Thyagraj Stadium from 6 September to 12 September 2012. Sanya Wasson, Ankita Baluja and Niharika Grover of X A participated in the tournament and performed well. Through this tournament, they added to their confidence and further honed their talent.
BADMINTON ZONALS The badminton champs of our school participated in the Badminton Zonal Competition held at SKV B-3 Paschim Vihar from 1 September to 6 September 2012.Our junior team as well as the senior team brought laurels to the school by bagging the I and the II position respectively. The sub-juniors also participated in the competition and performed well. AITA NATIONAL RANKING TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2012 CBSE BADMINTON TOURNAMENT LEG CRICKET NATIONALS (U-19) Sports can help improve one’s stamina and concentration. The extremely talented girls of our school showcased their talent in the Leg Cricket Nationals (U-19 category) held in Mumbai (Kalyan) from 3 October to 9 October 2012. Akansha Choudhary of X B and Nidhi Rathi of X B scooped the 1 position and brought laurels to the school. Their skill and effort was put forth during the various matches and brought them immense accolade. “Speed in tennis is a strange mixture of intuition, guesswork, footwork and hair-trigger reflexes.” The AITA National Ranking Tennis Tournament was one of the grandest events held at Pro-Tennis Academy from 5 November to 9 November 2012. Gurbani Arora of our school managed to reach the pre-quarterfinals of the tournament. This tournament gave her the much needed exposure to further develop her talent and confidence. Sports makes a growing child polish his skills and give them an opportunity to work in a team, and to be patient as well as prompt. The students of our school participated in the CBSE Badminton Tournament held at Ludlow Castle School from 12 October to 15 October 2012. Niharika Grover, Ankita Baluja and Srishti Bhatia of XA participated in the tournament. The girls made us proud of their endeavour by reaching the quarterfinals.
