VISIT TO CAREER FAIR<br />
'Learning is fun'- Students exhibiting their work learnt in<br />
the workshop that took place during their visit to Jaipur.<br />
The students of our school were taken to attend the Career Fair which took place on 30 October 2012 at St. <strong>Mark's</strong> <strong>Sr</strong> <strong>Sec</strong><br />
<strong>Public</strong> School, Janak Puri. At the Career Fair, various stalls were put up by different institutions like Collegify, DQ School of<br />
Visual Arts, AAFT (Asian Academy of Film and Television), AskIItians, Star Aviation Academy, International Institute of<br />
Fashion Design and the Bird Academy. The main objective behind this initiative taken by SMS was to prepare the students<br />
to enter into the fiercely competitive world. It aimed at motivating our students to strive towards excellence and to maximize<br />
their potential so that they can pursue the career that their heart desires. A workshop was also organized where all the<br />
participating institutions encouraged the students to opt for the courses that best suited their talent and interest. Our<br />
students thoroughly enjoyed their visit and also became aware of the various career options available to them apart from<br />
engineering and CA.<br />

actively participated in the Inter House G.K<br />
Quiz held on 3 October 2012. Each team had<br />
six participants. The students were drilled<br />
with mind- boggling questions dealing with<br />
topics like flora and fauna, sports, world<br />
geography, general awareness, literature,<br />
etc. Interesting questions were put to the<br />
audience as well. The students participated<br />
enthusiastically and gained valuable<br />
information about different aspects of life<br />
through the quiz. Shastri House emerged as<br />
the proud winner of the wonderful quiz.<br />

A G.K Quiz was also conducted on 4 October<br />
2012 for class VII and on 8 October for class<br />
G.K.Quiz in action- In the quest for knowledge.<br />
VIII with the aid of the smart class. Each class was divided into four teams according to their houses and the class teachers<br />
conducted the quiz. The students fervently participated in the quiz and gave answers to the questions asked. The quiz not<br />
only tested their awareness but also added to their knowledge.
