In line with the methods explained in this annex, the<br />

results provided in the main text <strong>of</strong> the report and in<br />

are presented as best, low and high estimates.<br />

When the term “range” is used after a best estimate in<br />

the main text <strong>of</strong> the report, the lower and higher numbers<br />

correspond to the 2.5th and 97.5th centiles <strong>of</strong> the<br />

outcome distributions produced by simulations. These<br />

are distinct from 95% confidence intervals, which are<br />

estimated directly from observed, empirical data.
