‣ Read the “To <strong>Parents</strong>” section and look at the sample schedules and Child Development<br />

In<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>for</strong> your child’s age.<br />

‣ Talk with the other parent about what parenting time will meet your family’s needs.<br />

‣ Use the blank calendar on page 9 of this <strong>Guide</strong> to mark the days and times each parent<br />

will have parenting time.<br />

‣ This <strong>Guide</strong> includes sample calendars with sample language to include in court orders.<br />

These are examples only. You may choose any days or times you wish.<br />

‣ Remember: This <strong>Guide</strong>:<br />

• IS a TOOL with suggestions and tips<br />

• IS NOT mandatory<br />

• DOES NOT prohibit or limit parents or judges from creating parenting time<br />

schedules different from the samples. Each family has its own unique issues and<br />

concerns<br />

• DOES NOT mandate a minimum or maximum amount of parenting time <strong>for</strong><br />

either parent<br />

• MAY NOT be helpful in all circumstances.<br />
