SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
In the process of studying and thinking about the problem of parents living apart and their need to
have meaningful relationships with their children, the Ohio subcommittee came across the
parenting time Guide materials developed by the Arizona Supreme Court. These materials
represent best practices that sensibly honor children’s developmental stages and parents’ desires
to be a part of their children’s lives. We express our deep gratitude to the Arizona Supreme Court,
Administrative Office of the Court, and Arizona Workgroup Members for paving the way and
providing excellent, research-based creative ideas for parenting time. We acknowledge the
assistance of Kay L. Radwanski, Policy Analyst, Arizona Supreme Court, Administrative Office
of the Court, who graciously made these materials available to us free of charge and allowed us to
build upon them to create the Ohio version of the parenting time Guide.
Our sincere thanks also are owed to Marjorie (Margie) Briggs Crowder, Program Manager,
Children, Families & the Courts Section, Supreme Court of Ohio. Although she retired before the
Ohio Guide went to print, we especially recognize Margie’s guidance, leadership and enthusiasm,
which were invaluable to move this project from a concept to a tangible product.
