depending on the state <strong>of</strong> international and regional political tension, military preparations,<br />

<strong>Integrated</strong> Aviation (<strong>Air</strong>) <strong>Surveillance</strong>: The integration <strong>of</strong> information from cooperative and<br />
non-cooperative surveillance systems to create a user-defined operational picture (from common<br />
information) <strong>of</strong> real or near-real time situation for safety, security and efficiency. (1) (7)<br />
Integrity: Independent determination <strong>of</strong> data veracity. In this context, a quality whereby data<br />
and/or information is considered consistent, whole and accurate, usually as such data and/or<br />

Intelligence: The product resulting from the collection, processing, integration, analysis,<br />
evaluation and interpretation <strong>of</strong> available data and information concerning foreign countries or<br />

Intelligence Community: The community comprised <strong>of</strong> the Office <strong>of</strong> the Director <strong>of</strong> National<br />
Intelligence; the Central Intelligence Agency; the National Security Agency; the Defense<br />
Intelligence Agency; the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency; the National Reconnaissance<br />
Office; other <strong>of</strong>fices within the Department <strong>of</strong> Defense involved in the collection <strong>of</strong> specialized<br />
national intelligence through reconnaissance; the intelligence elements <strong>of</strong> the Army, the Navy,<br />
the <strong>Air</strong> Force, the Marine Corps, the Federal Bureau <strong>of</strong> Investigation and the Department <strong>of</strong><br />
Energy; the Bureau <strong>of</strong> Intelligence and Research <strong>of</strong> the Department <strong>of</strong> State; the Office <strong>of</strong><br />
Intelligence and Analysis <strong>of</strong> the Department <strong>of</strong> Treasury; the Office <strong>of</strong> Intelligence <strong>of</strong> the Coast<br />
Guard in the Department <strong>of</strong> Homeland Security; the intelligence elements <strong>of</strong> the Drug<br />
Enforcement Administration; and such other elements <strong>of</strong> any other department or agency as may<br />
be designated by the President, or designated jointly by the Director <strong>of</strong> National Intelligence and<br />
the head <strong>of</strong> the department or agency concerned, as an element <strong>of</strong> the Intelligence Community.<br />

Intent (Flight): The information associated with a flight, including the aircraft’s filed flight<br />
plans, on-board Flight Management System (FMS) trajectories representing intent and<br />
current/predicted positions, preferred routes and altitudes, broadcast information, preferred<br />
runway, gate assignment, pushback and taxi information (6)<br />
Intent (Purpose): An aim or design to execute a specified course <strong>of</strong> action. (13)<br />
Interdiction: (1) A military action to divert, disrupt, delay, or destroy the enemy’s military<br />
capability before it can be used effectively against friendly forces, or to otherwise achieve<br />
objectives. (2) A law enforcement activity conducted to divert, disrupt, delay, intercept, board,<br />
detain, seize or arrest, as appropriate, vessels, vehicles, aircraft, people and cargo. (13)<br />
