Colleges and Universities Offering Actuarial Courses<br />
A list <strong>of</strong> colleges and universities in North America that <strong>of</strong>fer actuarial courses is available on the SOA<br />
Web site under Education and Examinations. This list is updated annually in January.<br />
New Selection<br />
Communications Program<br />
An important goal <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Society</strong>'s communications program is to increase the public's awareness and<br />
understanding <strong>of</strong> the actuary's work. To do this, the Integrated Communications Department tries to<br />
obtain publicity for <strong>Society</strong> meetings, research, and other activities and its members in the print and<br />
broadcast media. One important service the communications program <strong>of</strong>fers is publicity for new Fellows<br />
<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Society</strong>. At their request, the <strong>Society</strong> will send news releases about their achievement to new<br />
Associates' and Fellows' hometown or suburban newspapers and/or alumni magazines.<br />

The SOA Customer Service Department is indeed up and running to serve all <strong>of</strong> your needs. We are<br />
working on putting together an easy-to-use, fully interactive page that will <strong>of</strong>fer "one-stop shopping" for<br />
any Customer Service Request<br />

Library<br />
The <strong>Society</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Actuaries</strong> library is located in the <strong>Society</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice. The library's collection includes its own<br />
copies <strong>of</strong> the North American Actuarial Journal, Reports, and <strong>Yearbook</strong>s and Build and Blood Pressure<br />
Studies, Medical Impairment Studies, and Occupational Studies. In addition, it holds some 1,500 books<br />
and a wide range <strong>of</strong> published domestic and foreign materials from periodicals, reports, and special<br />
actuarial publications.<br />
The library <strong>of</strong>fers a variety <strong>of</strong> special services and reference information to assist members and staff. A<br />
