PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE | Clarence Roos
Fellow board members, members and
supporters please join me and show our sincere
thanks to the coaches, players, support staff,
committee members, volunteers and our
fantastic sponsors for their outstanding support
which is reflected today by our U18’s, Reserves
and Seniors who have all made it through to the
2010 Grand Final.
A football club is never easy to run, but when you
have a dedicated band of volunteers who work
side by side, as close as a family, then it will work.
Thank you to Richard and Robin for being there
making this family really bond.
To Brett Geappen the Senior Coach, your
professionalism, dedication and the way you have
built such a culture within our club from the U16’s
through to the Seniors is a real credit to you and
your assistant coaches who have the same beliefs
and dedication, well done. When you were forced
to retire this year we all knew you still had that
burning passion to put that behind you and still
develop what you had started.
To every player in our senior squad, yes it is heart
breaking to know that some one will miss out on
playing for that dream, but dreams are for ever
and you will get that one day. Devonport has done
extremely well on reaching this spot and let me
congratulate them on playing in the TSL Grand
Final, but I will be still pushing for a ROOS victory.
To Rodney Callinan coach of the Reserves,
and your support staff and players, let me
congratulate every one of you on making it
through to this fantastic day, which will go down
in history as the “LAST RESERVES GAME”. There
would be no better way to finish than by holding
that Premiership Cup aloft.
To Glenn Gleeson coach of the U18’s and Skipper
Cooke and your fantastic support staff. Well you
all had your backs against the wall which started
with a road trip to Launceston. Clarence Football
Club is proud of what you have done so far and
now it is up to you to determine your fate.
Not forgetting our fantatsic ladies who make the
meals, our ever hard working bar staff who love
the football but put their volunteer work first for
the club and our gate attendants thank you.
