I think it's exciting. Movies always seem to be the talk of Monday morning conversations. [It's great] just to be a part of that, the openings, especially with big blockbusters. It's an everchanging business. It's very intriguing and there's always something new to plan for. What is most fulfilling about your job? The idea of supplying a means of entertainment to the public—the satisfaction that you see on their faces as they walk out of the theatre [which demonstrates] that we're successful in creating a good escape environment for our patrons. What is it about General Cinema that's enabled the mmpany to be successful for the past 75 years? 1 think it starts as the top: the upper management has always been solid and supportive of the industry. They've really been very innovative with different concepts and through those opportunities of change, they've stayed ahead of the competition, always trying to obtain a better means of providing the customers with more than just the movie. Steve Fischel, Senior Supervisor What do you like about the exhibition business? It's a rewarding, exciting business. It's interesting seeing different movies that come out, seeing different people who come out and enjoy our movies. What is most fulfilling about your job? Working with great management, seeing what people like to see, seeing return customers back for other mov- their satisfaction. seeing ies, What is it about General Cinema that's enabled it to be successful for the past 75 years? Customer service has always been number one. We take care of our customers—we treat them as if they are a guest in our house, not as a customer. Brandy Werner, Cashier What do you like about the exhibition business? I love it. I've been with this company for five years, off and on. i love being able to see people's reactions to the movies. I love seeing people enjoy their entertainment. What is most fulfilling about your job? Seeing the faces of the little kids when they come out. I have four nieces and 1 love taking them to the movies, seeing their new experiences. Adults are funny too, with their reactions to special effects. What is it about GCT that's enabled it to be successful for the past 75 years? 1 believe they listen to their cu.stomers. If a customer suggests something, they take it into consideration and they go through all the channels, trying to do what their customers would like them to do. John Vance, Chief Projectionist What do you like about the exhibition business? I've been in this business for 32 years and have seen many ups and downs. Today, we're a very viable industry. There are so many new and exciting technological advances coming on board and it greatly enhances the moviegoing experience for our customers. What is most fulfilling about your job? I love to see a full auditorium and I like to see the audience totally involved in the film, whether they're gasping or laughing. 1 take pride that in some small way, I helped coninhute to their enjoyment. What Is it about (;CT that's enabled it to be successful for tlie pa.st 75 years? Customer satisfaction, clean ;uid well-maintained theatres, quality presentations, and professionalism. They're very concerned about the patrons and the job that's done and the fact that customers are getting a gixxl presentation and are happy. ^H
