A 16-hour benefit telethon will be sponsored<br />

by the United Cerebral Palsy of Utah through<br />

Intermountain Theatres late this month.<br />

Prominent entertainers, including Pedro Gonzalez,<br />

will take part in the event, which will<br />

be broadcast from the Capitol Theatre over<br />

KSL-TV. Ray M. Hendry, vice-president and<br />

general manager of Intermountain Theatres,<br />

is a member of the committee, as is Stxm<br />

Gillette, chief barker of Variety Tent 38.<br />

The IVIarciano-LaStarza fight will be seen<br />

on big screens at the Utah and Camark theatres.<br />

Tlie latter is a 559-.scat hou.se in South<br />

Salt Lake. The former, second biggest theatre<br />

here, is operated by Intermountain Theatres.<br />

Pi-ices are $3.05 general and $4.27 loges<br />

at the Utah.<br />

Distributor representatives here are planning<br />

to attend the annual meeting of Montana<br />

Theatre Owners at the Northern hotel<br />

in Billing, Octot)er 12-14.<br />

"From Here to Eternity" and "The Moon<br />

Is Blue" have shattered nearly all records in<br />

the theati-es in which they've shown in Salt<br />

Lake . Jorgenson of Rigby was in<br />

on business . Tibijs, Allied Artists<br />

manager, is remodeling his home . . . Members<br />

of Variety and Women of Variety have<br />

been busy cooperating with Eddie Terhune<br />

and his Community Builders to raise funds<br />

for Variety's charity work.<br />

Hikes Adult Admissions<br />

KALISPELL. MONT. — Carl Anderson,<br />

owner of tlie Liberty, Strand and Sundown<br />

theatres here, has hiked adult admission<br />

prices by five cents. Prices at the Roxy remained<br />

unchanged and there was no change<br />

in children's and students' prices.<br />

Buys in Phoenix<br />

PHOENIX—The Cinema Park Drive-In has<br />

been purchased by Bennie Berger, Minnesota<br />

circuit operator, from Fred Crockett.<br />

Tokay Resumes Matinees<br />

RAYMOND. WASH.—William Batchelder.<br />

manager of the Tokay theatre in Raymond,<br />

has announced that the Tokay will resume<br />

regular Saturday afternoon matinees. Every<br />

Returns From Hollywood<br />

GREAT FALLS, MONT.— A. B. Guthrie,<br />

author of "Bright Sky" and "The Way West"<br />

has returned to his home from Hollywood<br />

"The Gabriel Horn," a story of western Kentucky.<br />

Opens Hollywood Office<br />

HOLLYWOOD—Unity Television Corp., TV<br />

film distributors, has opened west coast offices<br />

here with Connie Lazar as representative.<br />

Eternity' Triples Highest Gross<br />

presented an unusual problem at the Orpheum.<br />

theatre's history, achieved by "The Egg and<br />
