Applied Acoustics is a major manufacturer of subsea acoustic
navigation and positioning equipment. The product range includes
the innovative USBL tracking system ‘Easytrak’ and a wide variety
of positioning & release transponders. Easytrak provides range
and bearing information to a variety of subsea moving targets
such as divers, ROVs, AUVs and tow-fish. Rack mounted, portable
and militarised tracking systems are available, many with Spread
Spectrum Technology for increased positioning information.
Applied Acoustics also manufactures a market leading range of subbottom
profiling products based on a component system configuration.
Both the seismic energy source units, the CSP range (50-12000J), and
the seismic energy sound source products, Boomers and Sparkers,
are in use throughout the world in research and commercial survey
applications. The latest edition to this range, the S-Boom, is a
unique triple plate system that provides high resolution at increased
penetration.
