Festival Club Supermusician Die Roten Punkte Australia comedy music Roll up, roll up! In 2013 the arts festival takes over the original historic theatre at The Mayfair to create the Festival Club, an opulent and fanciful cabaret setting in the colourful Devon Street Westend, just down the road from the TSB Showplace. Featuring an colourful array of theatrical characters, cabaret, comedy and musical delights, The Mayfair Club is the place to be. Book a table, order a platter with friends and make a night of it, or join the fray for late night shows on a Friday or Saturday nights. Hang out with festival artists, as they let their hair down, after the show. Special festival bar and food services are available before, during and after scheduled events. Free admission after scheduled show times, but ticket-holders only for each show. Premium tables will sell-out well in advance, so book now! The smash hit of New Plymouth’s inaugural Right Royal Cabaret Fest in 2012, Die Roten Punkte (The Red Dots), return again to play their brilliant show Supermusician, their interpretation of new-wave, glam-punk, with a little crash, panache and pastiche! Singing in questionable German accents and escalating their ‘dysfunctional sibling relationship’ to new heights, the lipstick-smeared, tantrum-loving duo deliver a blistering, sonic collision reminiscent of the B52’s, Kraftwerk and early Ramones. Sell-out shows in New York, Montreal, Dublin, Edinburgh and New Plymouth, ensure a side-splitting show of hilarious musical buffoonery as their sibling rivalry explodes on stage with the most irreverent and uproarious gig you are ever likely to see.
