Ano<strong>the</strong>r successful band out of <strong>the</strong> stable of LOOP<br />
Recordings Aot(Ear)oa, and a massive crowd<br />
pleaser at this year’s WOMAD, AHoriBuzz, returns<br />
<strong>to</strong> New Plymouth <strong>to</strong> wow crowds again with <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
unique blend of psychedelic funk and rock.<br />
Aaron Tokona has been around music for<br />
years. His first band, Weta, supported <strong>the</strong> likes<br />
of Foo Fighters, Soundgarden and Everclear.<br />
He describes his two current bands, Cairo<br />
Knife Fight and AHoriBuzz as, “A mongrel of<br />
a sound w<strong>here</strong> anything goes...Cairo Knife<br />
Fight music is a balls-<strong>to</strong>-<strong>the</strong>-floor headrush.<br />
AHoriBuzz music is a cross between techno,<br />
funk, house, blues, rock and reggae.”<br />
Often a slow-burning start will gradually<br />
build <strong>to</strong> a wild intensity – riff-fired,<br />
unhinged and hallucina<strong>to</strong>ry. This<br />
performance will be out of <strong>the</strong> box!<br />

raise a Tui-gripping hand <strong>to</strong> family who have come<br />
from all over <strong>to</strong> celebrate, including Uncle Shane all<br />
<strong>the</strong> way from Perth and Te Manawa who has brought<br />
his girlfriend Sia <strong>to</strong> meet <strong>the</strong> family for <strong>the</strong> first time.<br />
