St Mary’s College Feast Day – 23 rd May.
Our whole College Feast Day Mass was celebrated by Bishop
Christopher, Father Daniel and Father Richard at the Secondary
Campus undercover area. This was a special occasion to
once more celebrate the feast of Our Lady Help of Christians
who is the Patron Saint of Broome and Australia. The tradition
of crowning the statue of Mary and the throwing of flowers
was commenced by our first priest in Broome, Fr. Nicholas
Emo on the site now occupied by Streeters over 100 years
ago. The students were commended for their prayerful attitude
and excellent participation.
After Mass the Secondary students went to BRAC to enjoy a
day of activities and fun while the Primary students were
involved in a tabloid sports day on their Campus.
