GREEN RIVER CHAPTER<br />
Officers for the <strong>2014</strong> calendar year include:<br />
Chairperson: Kimberly Bullock<br />
Chair-elect: Carole Mattingly<br />
Treasurer: Carol Murch<br />
Secretary: Shelley Chandler<br />
The KNA Green River Chapter, formerly of District 8, consists of 13 members with a focus on<br />
nursing education. Meetings are scheduled several times during the spring and fall of the year<br />
and are conducted on the second Tuesday of the month. We alternate each meeting location<br />
between Owensboro and Henderson.<br />
Several of our members, Carole Mattingly, Carol Murch, and Diane Siewart are continuing<br />
their education in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice tract, and Eunice Taylor is pursuing her<br />
Doctor of Philosophy. Each of these members gave a brief synopsis of the programs and capstone<br />
projects they are completing during the March meeting. Kimberly Bullock is continuing her<br />
education in the Masters tract for Nurse Educator.<br />
The chapter annually awards the Charlotte Bratcher Scholarship. Katherine Posey and Nicole<br />
Warmack were awarded scholarships with current applicants finishing criteria requirements<br />
by May 31, <strong>2014</strong>, and are to be announced. Additionally, the chapter will be a sponsor for the<br />
upcoming healthcare celebration in Henderson that is scheduled for the fall of <strong>2014</strong> at the<br />
Henderson Fine Arts Center. We expect to continue to grow and look forward to the upcoming<br />
year of activities.<br />
